I just dont get it....We used the USICIS to get the most updated form. Then it was returned to us as it wasnt the most updated for and they tell us that it wasnt the most updated form and the same forms are on the web site now.....HOW do I get the most updated form so I can get this freaking thing filed?

A few things about the forms, USCIS makes notes for most forms, "Previous version accepted" only a few they request a specific newest version

As for the OMB date on the forms, this date has nothing to do with the form's validity, it has to do with a survey that the government agency (USCIS or DOS) is conducting with regard to the paperwork reduction act, for the Office of Management and Budget. The forms remain valid long after the survey date has passed.

Well, this (http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-485.pdf) is the most recent I-485 on the USCIS website. I know google sometimes takes you to an old version of a form if you click directly through to the form from google, but eh I don't really know how else you could've used an old form if you got it from USCIS, especially as the website says they're still accepting older editions of the form from 2009.

What form is expired? Have you checked them all? Sometimes the cookies in a website will retain the old info so you might need to do a hard refresh (usually Ctrl+F5).

We tried everything....deleting cookies downloaded the most updated versions of adobe and more. We even had a couple others go on their computers to get the forms.....still we get the expired I485 12.31.2010 forms. We ordered the damn things now by snail mail. Are we seriously the only ones to have this issue?

It looks like "Rev. 11/23/10" (stated on the bottom of the form), is the most current form. Even though it says "Expires 12/31/10" on the top of the form, i don't believe that is the actual expiration date.

Are you looking at the "USCIS i-485 page", becuase it shows the current edition is the 11/23/10.

Hopefully this helps, but sorry your having so much trouble with it.

So the I-485 link above is still okay to use??? I was looking at the expiration date 12/31/10 as well and wondered if it was okay to use.

Nope....I filled out the forms for the I 485 Mid December and when I checked to make sure that there were no issues....I missed that date. So we actually did file the wrong version of the form. We have the correct forms now and sent them in. Am hoping to hear in a few days of there acceptance.....Gosh I sure hope they accept them ....I know its just the AOS....bust jeesh this is the most stressful thing I have ever encountered in my entire life....AND I HAVE TEENAGERS!
