Guys, please, don't think about my fiance is someone who can't be a man. Because it's not true, it was just one situation when he didn't do very good. And he agreed with that. I actually sent this link to him to read. We just first time got in that situation. And believe me, we came trough many things together and overcame a lot. I know I can trust him and he's a real man. I just opened that topic because I wanted to discuss how to be with jerks and idiots. It's not right to think or tell that he's wrong. I don't want somebody hurt him, pls. I love him very much as you love your spouses. (L)

Life is not a bed of roses. (F) (F) (F)

BTW, do you know, guys that it's insulting in Russia to give your women bouquet with four flowers, or bouquet made from fake flowers? And if you give 4 flowers to your wife she will be freaked out?

the first question some people aske me is "Is he old?". Yeah, you're right. Unbelievably old - he's turning 25 in March  But even if he was, who cares? Like girls in Russia never date Russian guys, who are 20 years older than them...

Ha-ha. True. First question is always: What race is he? (Is he an afro-american?). Second question is how old is he "Is he 20, 30 years older?"

And they always wondered that he's young and handsome. And all of them think they are smart asses, cos they don't know that I hear same questions 100000000000 times.

I just wonder how they are caring :hehe: and sweet :hehe: , looking after me and my future

Someone just told that I have a lot of "courage" to marry american. Courage? Why? Do american husdands have a tail and horns?

I think all of that just jealousy from the women as well as from men. Just some people get sad when they see we're so happy together. And they want to equalize situation. And then they tell bad things to make us unhappy like they are. That's what I think :luv:

Funny story. It happened more than 2 years ago, and it was the 1st time my fiance ordered flower delievery through an international service. So, I start talking about how great it is to wake up in the morning and get 11 beautiful long stemmed red roses... and he goes "What???? 11??? I ordered 12!!!"

I had to explain everything to him and when I came back in summer there was a bouquet for me and he said that he had to "kill" some roses to make it odd number

Interestingly enough, the guys I know usually are pretty cool with me going to marry an American guy. they want to meet him, make friends with him, sometimes drink with him  It's the gils, who ask weird questions.

:ot: My fiance once told me, we wants to make a surprise for me. Surprise was that he was going to send me 6 fake roses. (F) (F) (F) (F) (F) (F) Omg, I told better not. I said it's better to leave them on the cemetery, to some who needs that. He looked upset

That I don't understand. My dear doesn't drink and they want to spoil my fiance. Esp my bros. Can't wait him to drink. Even bought vodka for that occasion. I'l better let him eat hamburgers every day, than drink alcohol like russian guys do. :D

Here's a funny story...well kinda. The first time I went to Belarus I rented an apartment in Minsk for a month and Kira and I stayed there...but I was registered in here hometown on a "invitation visa" which is about a little less than an hours drive north of Minsk. Apparently she didn't want anyone other than a few select people (mom, sister, and some friends) to know about me ...at first. I think she wanted to see how things went for us before telling everyone we were getting married the following summer.

So anyways we take the bus to her hometown so I can sign some papers in the ZAGS office in regards to my visa there, and then we go to the store to buy some food for a dinner with her mom and sister. Were in line to get some pastry's and all these people (lots of old people btw) are staring at us with mean looks. One of them says something in Russian, and whatever they said it wasn't good because Kira gave them a mean look, and wouldn't translate it for me. So me being the ####### that I am...I tell Kira to tell the woman behind the pastry counter to give us two of everything. Kira says "don't do that because it will cause problems and make us look bad". So I use sign language to tell the woman to give us two of everything. She looked surprised but she did it anyways. So while Kira's standing in line in front of me talking to the woman in Russian, I look back at these angry looking Belarusians then look back at Kira's #######, and then look back at them and smile and wink. he he...bad move on my part though. Because when we left the store Kira grabbed me by the ear and twisted it and told me very quietly that if I ever pulled something like that again she would tear my ear off.

I don't think those people like Americans over there. Especially the old Babushka's.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I don't think it's a national thing really. Some Americans drink a lot more than Russians do and the way they drink in their bars is absolutely crazy

Actually, British exchange students from my university also find it weird how little we, Russian students, drink compared to them. So, in fact, Russian people are not really drinking heroes.

When we drink Vodka, we eat in-between toasts. Maybe that's why we only get a little bit pion-enky even after 5 or 6.

Agree, my fiance told me some stories how american guys on the party had fun, pouring all alcohol in one bowl and then drank it.

It's why mine doesn't drink at all. And I'm glad.

I also would mention European teens in Malta (also girls), they get absolutely crazy because of sex, freedom and alcohol there. And their parents think they send their precious kid "to learn" english. They even have that joke in Malta like "there is no maniacs in Malta, because they lost interest to rape girls, whose too drunk and never resist"

I think she wanted to see how things went for us before telling everyone we were getting married the following summer.

Funny, I'm honestly regret that I told people that I'm getting married american guy. Too much envying from the girls, too many jokes from friends like you're going to live in "pendosia" and eat burgers. Or they said that he'll close me in the garage or a basement and treat as a slave :help:

I said that it's me who's rather going to close him and do that I want.

Now it's just annoying that they ask everytime they see me "Are you still here?" :(

His colleagues everytime ask him "if she speaks english?". Yep, I kind'a speak. Wanna talk? B-)

What I can't understand is why americans eat so many sandwiches. But I think it's same for them as pelmeni for us.

Sandwiches are awesome!

If he is going to lock you up, go for the garage. There are usually enough tools there to break out. Also, in case you didn;t know, garages are not for cars. They are for storing $50 worth of junk that should be thrown out so the $20,000 car can stay outside.

Balconies are a necessity for drying clothing sheets. For me, the 11th floor balcone was a great vantage point to wave to Lena and watch her skip on her way to her privat aerobics job. I'd return to the balcone as she made her way back home after work, waving at each other throughout her 500 meter trip from her metro station. Very memorable.

I don't really care that much. I'm never eager to tell people too much information about my life, but if they ask I am usually honest with them.
