Okay, trying to get my head around the whole next stage of the process! A few questions.

Pay Stubs: Nick has only been working for the company for a year. he wont be able to get any from before that, and may not even be able to get the early ones (he was training elsewhere)...is this a problem?

Passport photos of beneficiary: I assume these should be US sized?

Sending the IV and AOS packets: Do I send the IV from England and Nick sends the AOS from the US? or do I need to send my parts to him so that he can then send it? In this case, does it matter if i send it now (only 2 months in) as the forms will be dated now?

Im sure ill be back with more, but thanks in advance for the answers!

I'm going through also and here are my answers as best I can:

Paystubs......6 months of prior year, + year to date pay stubs (copies)

Photos.........US sized but if I'm not mistaken, only to be taken to the medical and interview.....not sent to NVC we're in the process of putting together our packet now for IV

Sending packets in........called NVC on that question this morning myself......answer was it's ok to send in the packets, by anyone from anywhere, as long as the coversheet / barcode is attached.

Hope this helps.....the NVC Dept; of State page is kind of confusing, just look to the top of the page above the instructions. up to page 3 it says documents to be submitted and page 4 and further says interview prep.

Paystubs are not a mandatory requirement , I sent them 1. Tax transcript , 2. Employer's letter and that's all , they were quite happy

I also am wondering what steps I can be taking now, pro-actively, now that our I-130 is likely to be approved within a month (or, Gosh Forbid, two months). I read this shortcut but it seems strange to me that it suggests that the beneficiary complete all forms and then get them in the hands of the petitioner. Is that correct? Seems to me that NVC is requesting that the beneficiary's forms be sent directly to them, not route through the petitioner... I did post my own topic in this forum, but now I see that Amy & Nick are basically asking the same question I am.

when it goes to the NVC stage .the first thing is she has to appoint a agent DS-3032 unless u have a lawyer, if you are the agent then the papers can come from your address, she can send you her docurments before hand to save you time in mailing.read the short cut going to the NVC stage it explains it well in the guides and wiki.......

the ds-3032 grants, for example, the USC petitioner permission to ACT ON THE BEHALF OF THE BENEFICIARY.

at NVC stage, the beneficiary actually applies for a VISA via the DS-230 form, so if the USC Petitioner is paying fees online via the online payment portal, it makes sense to have the ds-230 + all civil documents IN THE HAND OF THE USC Petitioner,

if and only if the USC Petitioner, via the DS-3032 form, is 'set' as the 'agent of choice'.

If you study the NVC FlowChart on the GUIDES, you'll see how things run in parallel.

OF COURSE - she can send in the DS-230/IV packet herself from her country, direct to NVC, as soon as the IV fee bill has been marked paid, with the coversheet that is generated at the online payment portal (you can generate this, email it to her as a pdf file).
