Most of us K1 applicants had a very shoddy experience at Vermont Service Center

and it has caused alot of heartache and strife so PRAISE where it is due:

NVC is rocking:

They received our case file from Vermont on the 28th Jan

and it was out on the 1st February - next day :)

It has arrived at the Moscow embassy (Feb 3rd) and we are on our way.

FYI for all (having dealt with phone drones at USCIS):

the man (actual human being - yes) at NVC who answered my call

was 1. factual, 2. respectful, 3. concise 4. helpful

and NVC rocked the application through next day.

Praise where it is due - NVC - you ROCK !

02/02/2011 - NOA2 text message and an email (~5 months later)

04/26/2011 - Interview! Visa APPROVED and issued! yAAAy

05/20/2011 - POE: LAX

06/03/2011 - Wedding!!

07/07/2011 - Adilet got his SSN!

07/11/2011 - Sent our AOS package (AOS & EAD)

07/13/2011 - NOA1 text message and an email

08/09/2011 - Biometrics taken

09/01/2011 - Email notification that our interview is set for October 14.

09/23/2011 - Email notification that Adilet's EAD is in production.

10/04/2011 - EAD in hands.

10/14/2011 - Interview. GC APPROVED on the spot! Yeah!

11/01/2011 - GC in hands

How do you confirm that Moscow embassy received the case? I called NVC yesterday and they said that my application left en route to Moscow on January 31st but they cannot confirm if Moscow received it.
