OFF topic: What the hell is wrong with NVC

Their automated phone system has the new option is WHEN u call them using 603-334-0770,they will tell u either PRESS 1 for EGYPT crisis INFO, PRESS 2 for all other visa petition inquiries. SO, i pressed 2, then guess what, the freaking phone just RANG and RANG none stop like when u call some body and they are not at home....what the hell now?? Im getting pissed about this, because i have 2 petitions one is already been sent out the fee bills, and one is still currently "NO RECORD" found in the system. They are both approved and forwarded to NVC.

Just a glitch somewhere is why you couldn't get thru. Sometimes when I call to my wife it will ring and ring and not connect. Then a few minutes later when I call it will go thru. Especiallly with a CP.

The PRESS 1 thing I got for the Haiti situation before. Usually on the weekend.

Just keep trying to call.

I got through to them today. After entering 2 for other, the phone probably rang 20 times then the normal press 1 for english recording started. After selecting 5 the usual............"there may be a short delay while we transfer your call" recording sounded, and Bam, it was immediately answered by a rep!

My god, NVC is so cheap that they couldn't affort for another number...and their processing speed is like TURTLEs. Thanks for answers though.

I had this problem all day, whenever I called up, I heard the message about Egypt, pressed 2 and then the phone just rang and rang. As per another member's suggestion, I decided to let the phone just keep ringing. I finally got through after two and a half minutes worth of ringing! I decided to try again, this time I only had to wait 2 minutes. If you're having problems getting through, I'd highly suggest letting the rings continue, you'll get through after a few minutes!

Yes, it does work after couple of minutes ringing like crazy...Imagine that you have to wait for about 3 mins just to listen some voice over other end, and the voice is not a real person...sounds scary, but i know u guys wont . So it

Last night I called and I let it ring and ring and ring for over 2 minutes...then the automated system picked up and THEN...NO WAIT to talk to an operator. I about died because usually I just settle in for a nice long wait on hold...sometimes i even get their "hold music" stuck in my head!!

I usually get the busy signal during the day. I call late at night and have no problems getting through.
