Unfortunately, there is no way to call ANY Application Service Center. I've read a number of posts that you can attempt a walk-in any time as long as you have your biometrics letter.

When I was there having my biometrics done (16 December 2010), I overheard them telling someone that they're not allowed to do walk-in biometrics anymore.

I was the only non-staff person in the office, that I could see, when I arrived and when I left.

Not sure about New Orleans but most offices let you do walk ins. If you go at a quiet time and mid week and if it is close by then yeah try to. When is your appointment? Are you in a hurry as yu really should try and stick with your appointment time. I was lucky to get a walkin here in Atlanta but I did so as I had not heard back from them about a change of appointment I requested so we risked it and it was fine.

Well actually there IS because I did but I can assume I was lucky. I did not keep the phone number for my service centre but I was able to locate it. The only reason I called is because mine was 3 hours away from me and i didn't want to drive that far for no reason. There is no point in calling if the service centre is close to you and knowing what I know now I probably would just drive there and if they say no have a good day in a different town with my hubby... but at the time I didn't want to reschedule and Tony had work that particular day.
