It's either people up in arms over the wait, or up in arms over the fees.

You can't have both, it's just that simple.

Exactly. And it wouldn't be fair if they increased the price substantially (say to $10,000). Some people would prefer that and just pay but others would have no chance to petition for their loved ones.

Spanish-language only? Even with 4 years of Spanish in high school, I wouldn't know what they were talking about.

Why don't you send them an email and I am sure they will tell you when you there will be an English only event. This is your opportunity to ask your questions and receive the right answers, not gossip on a web blog on the why and how your petitions are processed.

If they really needed all these months and months and months on end to screen your fiance for terrorism, then what about the years when Vermont issued the NOA2s in 30 days? How did they do it that quickly? Were they being negligent in screening fiances for terrorism? How many terrorist fiances are here now and have been here for all these years? Why haven't they blown anything up yet?

Well, first of all, there were FOUR service centers processing K1's back then. Not just TWO.

And they had a different Director at that time.

A woman, I might add.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

Well then it is time for Obama to lose this loser and get us a real director.

Why would he?! He's the one who put Napolitano and Clinton in their positions. BOTH of whom can dictate what USCIS will do visa wise, as it was Napolitano and Clinton who did this Haitian TPS BS.Only immigration idea that has come out of his mouth has been amnesty for illegals.

Sure there are rules. But the last time I checked, we lived in a democracy where the rules are supposed to be for the benefit of the ruled, not for the rulers. At USCIS it is the other way around. They seem to think they are in Iran or North Korea. Security is fine, but incompetence that they try to mask by calling it security is nothing but fraud on the people they are supposed to be answerable to.
