hello all visajourney team i am very glad to google i found ur website my name is mehreen and i am from pakistan i want to know some information about my pettien case.

my husband submitted i130 pettien on 14 may 2010 now he says it has been approve but he didnt give me more information about this he said i also dont know what is next procedure my husband is citizen.when i check status on uscis website there it show still in initial rewiew could u plzz guide me if my pettien is approved what should be the next procedure for getting visa quick.

i am very thankfull if u help me

assuming you are not in the USA. The case will then be transferred to the National Visa Center (NVC). You will not have to wait for a visa because you are the Immediate Relative and a visa is available for you as soon as you can finish the NVC process.

Sometimes the USCIS website is not updated... if he got the print in blank/white that it was approved then await your case to be transferred where you will be asked for more information.

thanks both of you,my husband recived I797 not NOA2 form is this same as NOA2. also plzz tell me should i need to select any visa category like k1 or k3 i dont know about it sorry for my stupidness

Sorry, I don't think you are versed on our VJ lingo. It sounds like your 797C is your NOA2, meaning your I-130 petition was approve and it is now on its way to NVC

K-1 you do not qualify for because you are married

K-3 is no longer used

The visa will be a Cr1 when it is issued after a succesful interview
