USCIS can go suck an egg. They increase fees and in return, to those desperately waiting to be together with their loved ones, do nothing to get the job done. Website not updated since October, for processing times and are still reporting that they are processing Aug 3rd, 2010 I-129F. I am tempted to grab my father, lawyer, and my Uncle, ex special agent of the DHS now FBI Agent, and pay them a visit. Might just do it when the 5 month mark hits for me. Down right retarded how lazy people are these days, work ethic and the genuine care for others is non-existant these days. Sorry just had to vent a bit, good luck to you.

Since I am 5months and few days over I called and they told me the same about the July 10th lecture.

Like you folks, I'm 13 days over the 5-month magic number. I called yesterday and was really frustrated by the agent who also quoted the automatic "we're processing July 10 filings"

She then forced me - literally - to listen to some messages some of which were printed on the NOA1 form. She would start from the begining of the readings each time I interrupted her to say a word or two albeit politely.

One thing I remember though was that the agent had to place me on hold to call another set of people who told her to relay the message to me about July 10. I asked and spoke with a supervisor who apologized for the delay in processing. There was nothing else I could do than thank him and end the call.

I can hardly sleep or eat these days but having said all that, I've come to one conclusion: stressing does not move the envelopes. Stressing about all these things is like winking to a beautiful girl in the dark - she wouldn't even see you to notice, talk less of, appreciate your motives.

Having said all that, my NOA1 was dated July 30 and I noticed that that the last 4 approvals reported on this forum at VSC had NOA1 dates earlier than mine - by a couple of days. I guess we should find ways to relax and worry only if this reaches 6 months with no NOA2. Weird as my theory or proposition may sound I submit that it's about the only way to keep our heads and remain sane.

As a naturalized citizen and with over 16 years of filing one petition or the other, I've learnt that things only get done when 'they' (the processing center) are done. I honestly believe they hardly lose files. It could happen as they are humans too but I'm yet to hear of one case that went into the system without an eventual outcome - positive or negative.

Like you all, I miss my fiancee and will sacrifice an arm to have her next to me right now. Like the saying goes, if wishes were horses even beggars will ride. Let's remain prayerful and hopeful that the processing speeds up. Good luck everyone!

I tried calling earlier today.....I was advised a service request should be put in, but uscis was having technical issues and I should call back.

Round 2 - I spoke with a very helpful individual and he successfully put in a service request to VSC for me. He gave me a conf number and said it could take up to 30 days to hear back from VSC, but the goal date is Jan 28h.

If anyone gets that line from a USCIS Customer Rep. it is pure BS. Either the rep doesn't want to do it, or they are too inept to remember how to do it.

Do what Laduque13 did and call again until you get someone who actually can do their job.

Sooner or later we will get the NOA2.
