We got touched on 3 October, and got approved K1 on 28 Dec and NVC sent to embassy on 3 Jan. We were 12 Jul filers. So hopefully it will happen soon for you. I think it all depends on the adjudicator. Think we were lucky ours did not take Xmas vacations. Hehe.

omg i am july 3 filer.. VERMONT

I feel for you. Really do. There is SO much to our story, but really never choose to share the whole thing. More irritating than anything. But we were VT also. I am sure that they are working on it. I would call tomorrow, and ask to put in a service call and see why your app is out of service time frame. they will be able to tell you exactly where your app is and what they are waiting on. I would not use that everytime you call and have a question, but works good to get a quick answer. Just a suggestion. I have no idea what the touch on 3 October was all about though. Seems just about everyone was touched on that day. Could I ask what all/ info you sent in with your 129?

Once your "last updated" date changes, that's considered a touch. I wouldn't put too much weight into the meaning (or lack thereof) of touches. My application was never once touched between our NOA1 and NOA2.

How do you find out if you got a "touch"? I have been checking the status of our application and it has not changed since 9/17/2010.

Best bet is to make sure you sign up for "My Case Status" on the main page. That shows you the minor touches (Updated dates). Other than that, there is no way of knowing.

Yeah, it shouldn't affect it. When he called, should have had them change it right there on the phone. Hope they did. We had 2 change of addresses for ours, mine and my fiance. Her's was even a change of embassy/consulate and we called, and they said they never received the change of address letter I sent via registered mail to them. So they changed her info right there on the spot for us. They had changed mine already apparently.

Was asking aobut the stuff sent in, as I am trying to figure out if amount of evidence you send affects how quick an app is approved. We sent all the required stuff, money receipts to her, about 25 pics, plane tix stubs, copies of anniversary cards (monthsary and b-day). The pics were not dated or anything. Oh, and letter of intent to marry from both of us. We think that is it, without us digging up our copy of the package right now, which is in a special drawer, with all our special stuff. Hehe. I am sure you will get your app approved. I have been reading, and an old adjudicator, and there was lots of interesting info.

Old post, but gives insight of why apps sit around and what happens on the adjudicator side.

God bless and hope you had a great holiday season.

My NOA1 date is July 23, 2010 - filed in Vermont - also last (and I guess only) touch of 10/3/2010. Makes me wonder if that is when they took all of the boxes of I129F's and moved them to the back of the warehouse to gather dust!

lol...hope not... mysterious oct 3 ryt?
