Before or after they added taxes?

I have a flight booked for November so just double checked.

In round numbers $575 direct booking with United, $635 on this site. OK I booked it 10 days ago and prices can change.

Also I would need to fly the St Pauls, would rather go through Washington. Plenty of on flights from Washington.

This might be worth a look for some:

For me, the flight cost to the East Coast is often only a little less than to London.

Aw that's nothing Lisa, I once saw a flight from London-Orlando for 99 squids! including tax! I think you had to swim part way though.

I think east coast/Florida types are lucky because there seems to be far better deals to be had and it's possible to even do a long weekend.

This site is good:

http://www.mobissimo.com/search_airfare.php

it's kind of like google and searches for fares from a number of providers to find you the best one.

might be worth to do ones of those cheap flights to Florida then take jet blue or one of those cheaper domestic companies to your final destination...

anyone tried that?

I've never found that would save us much $$ - and in some cases, it turned out to be more expensive.

And its higher on the 'hassle' factor, too, as you have to recheck your bags with another airline and all that fun.

I've seen that too...but being that he lives in the North, it's always a chew on trying to find him a flight.

No major airlines fly direct newcy-orlando....so the fact that he wouldn't have to schlep down to london or over to manc (then add gas+driving time+ parking fees + going back early so he can drive home/train home in time for work), the 99 squids isn't that great anymore.

But he can get a lift to the metro....take it straight to the airport, and VOILA! instant direct flight....

now if he only had some free time to come *sob*

My family have booked tickets to come over for my wedding in November.

Continental Airlines, Gatwick to Newark direct, £160 return each, inc all taxes etc. What a bargain!! :D

& I think their sale may still be on.

I found it through Airline Network, but they charged £170, £10 more than Continental.

Costs me $300 give or take to fly to San Fran, often a little bit more to Washingron, NY etc.

Frontier and United are the two main ones for me, usually Frontier is a few dollars cheaper, but not always and the gap has diminished.

So makes no sense, especiallas that GBP99 will be plus taxes, so probably nearer $300 by the time you ad it all up.

When I went to NYC in March from the UK to get my marriage visa for over here, I got a round trip ticket through expedia for £226.00. Not bad I would say. Especially for the time of year. Anywhere else I looked, the ticket prices ranged from £400-£1,000 roundtrip. Goodluck with your search!!!

Most of our flights have been directly with Delta. Usually there is only a 10-20 pound difference from the other "discount" sites, and when booking directly with them online you typically get an additional 1k sky miles, you will find this with most airlines if you book with them you can get free miles. I always search the bonus sections, because they sometimes give additonal free miles away if booking a ticket trans-atlantic, those miles add up fast when you do this. There is nothing like earning a free ticket and you have to weight out if the savings you get on discount flights will add up to the value of a freebie flight.

We have also often found if you travel on tues-thurs you can often get a better deal, just keep plugging in dates during your search.

We have I believe on one occasion booked with Orbitz.

During our search a month ago USAir was coming up with cheaper prices, but watch the layovers with them.

go delta :thumbs::oops:

Cari...omG just noticed that was you! How are you and crash and cr jr doing? Long time no see! If this is Crash, tell your missus I said hello!
