6 months since I-130 approval

I have not posted on here in months, but I know I can always rely on VJ for any questions I may have. I have an Aunt who filed the 1-130 for her daughter and got an approval in June 2010. She sent the payment, police cert and everything they asked for about 3-4 months ago and still has not heard anything yet. I filed the I-129 and my husband was here in less than two months after the approval so I was just wondering if that is the normal wait time and whats the next steps? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Ok how old is she?? Is she marriage?

That's really important because is she has mora than 21y or She's married it could take more time.

And let me ask you something LOVESPONGE

Did you Filed for your husband the K3 visa???

I have to file for my wife but a lot of people told me that

I should file CR1..

I think K3 is better but please share you experience..

Previous poster: The K-3 visa is no longer available, so no point in comparing them now :)

OP: I believe your friend is on the 1st preference category, and according to the January 2011 visa bulletin, priority dates are currently sitting at the year 2005.

She will have to wait around 5 years for a visa number to be available.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

what payment? the i130?

once the i130 is approved it will be sent to the NVC. her mother will receive a letter with a case number. then the waiting game begins.

umnarried children of a USC takes more than 5 years of waiting. what is her priority date? as said, they are working on January of 2005.

Lovesponge - your situation and hers are different and unfortunately, you can't base what happened with you to judge her process -

I agree with the previous posters.
