Lol you're welcome. I can help you to the best of my ability but the NVC thread is ultimately the best source of information :)

I-130 for both parents

March 28th 2013 - Priority date/ NOA 1
November 14th 2013 - Transferred to Nebraska Service Center

January 7th 2014 - Case changed online to approved for both

January 8th 2014 - case changed to shipped to NVC

January 9th 2014 - case changed to NOA 2 mailed

January 10th 2014 - Received the hardcopy of the NOA 2 stating that NVC would issue a case number in 30 days approx.

January 21st 2014 - Case Received at NVC

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

March 20th 2014 - Paid IV fee for my Mum.

March 25th 2014 - AOS accepted by NVC with no checklist.

March 26th 2014 - Filled in and submitted DS-260 for my Mum

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

April 1st - Mailed all civil documents to NVC for both parents.

April 3rd: IV fee shows as paid in portal/submitted DS-260 for my Dad.

April 22nd: checklist issued for civil documents - NVC error ...

April 23rd: sent another certified copy of my marriage certificate

April 24th: Case complete! :)

April 30th 2014 - Medical scheduled for parents at Knightsbridge in London

June 11th: Interview at London Embassy - Approved :)

Yes, AOS I-864 for each parent. Now, you will have to wait for the NVC number and Invoice Identification number to be assigned, before you can do anything else, it takes 2-8 weeks. You can start call

The petitions for parents are separate, though, and only one parent is listed on each petition. My guess would be multiple persons applies to the beneficiary with dependents, i.e. IR-1/2 or K-3/4. AO

Looks like you are covered - you have to make things simple for the NVC I find ;)

I agree with Collie, checklist paperwork that i turned in to NVC was delayed by a month, because it went to a different office (same building) instead of suite 100, i put suite 200. even though I was instructed to address the documents to suite 200 specifically because it needs to go to a supervisor, they still cant get it right... SMH :ranting::no:

12/16/2013 Cases transferred from NBC to NSC
02/18/2014 NOA2 Hardcopy, 02/20/2014 USCIS sent to DoS
NVC Journey: NVC Process (4 months from NOA2 - case completed)
04/04/2014 Call NVC and got both parents case # and IIN #
04/07/2014 Complete DS-261 for both parents (Choice of Agent), Got email from NVC to pay Affidavit of Support (AOS), AOS Paid online, $88 fee
04/09/2014 IV Paid online, $460 fee both parents
04/12/2014 Complete DS-260 for both parents
04/16/2014 Express Mail AOS and IV Package (mail all these in one envelope)

Basically they will apply for drivers licenses, socials and employment if that is their plan. As far as immigration goes, they will be done for 10 years unless they do the naturalization process in 5 years to become US citizens.

You are the new "Kerran" now, we will be pounding you with questions as we allow Kerran to enjoy the new bundle of joy and awaits mum's arrival. lol. But i do know she comes in at intervals to answer complicated questions we have too, to make us happy. lol

Lol Quyana! You hit the nail on the head. I've been super busy. Mom's visa was printed yesterday so she'll probably receive it next week.

I'm still waiting on MIL's papers to send in.

Lol Quyana! You hit the nail on the head. I've been super busy. Mom's visa was printed yesterday so she'll probably receive it next week.

I'm still waiting on MIL's papers to send in.

Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssss :dancing: Yipeeeee, Good news. Please enjoy the new Baby as much as you can and we pray for mum's safe arrival. Collie is representing you well. Mine is at NVC stage, hopefully all papers will be mailed out next week.

Hi,

I recently applied for my mother and just got an RFE. I sent the following required documents according to USCIS website (as far as I remember)

Signed form I-130
Payment (Check)
Copy of Certificate of Naturalization (Petitioner)
Copy of Birth Certificate (Petitioner)
Now the RFE I got is asking for so many stuffs (marriage certificate of my mother & father, Religious documents, Affidavits, early school records, medical records, census records etc).
They are also suggesting Specific Blood Group Antigen test, Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA), and DNA.
I can definitely send copy my parents marriage certificate which is with me now. But the country I'm from, we don't have lot of above mentioned records on file.
Is this a Generic form of RFE letter?
Could you please help me giving me some directions?

Does your birth certificate have a different name on it than what is listed on the I-130? They have obviously seen a red flag somewhere where you have to prove that you are related. You should try and gather as much evidence as possible to prove that you are related. If you can't, then both you and your parents will have to do the DNA test.

I-130 for both parents

March 28th 2013 - Priority date/ NOA 1
November 14th 2013 - Transferred to Nebraska Service Center

January 7th 2014 - Case changed online to approved for both

January 8th 2014 - case changed to shipped to NVC

January 9th 2014 - case changed to NOA 2 mailed

January 10th 2014 - Received the hardcopy of the NOA 2 stating that NVC would issue a case number in 30 days approx.

January 21st 2014 - Case Received at NVC

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

March 20th 2014 - Paid IV fee for my Mum.

March 25th 2014 - AOS accepted by NVC with no checklist.

March 26th 2014 - Filled in and submitted DS-260 for my Mum

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

April 1st - Mailed all civil documents to NVC for both parents.

April 3rd: IV fee shows as paid in portal/submitted DS-260 for my Dad.

April 22nd: checklist issued for civil documents - NVC error ...

April 23rd: sent another certified copy of my marriage certificate

April 24th: Case complete! :)

April 30th 2014 - Medical scheduled for parents at Knightsbridge in London

June 11th: Interview at London Embassy - Approved :)

No, if you already sent the originals, she only needs to bring photocopies. Although, if you sent photocopies also, even those might not be necessary. But I'd bring them just in case.

The letter usually says to bring the originals unless already submitted to NVC.
