I am a green card holder, and just got married one week ago outside of the US. My wife leaves in Gergia and we are planning to file I-130 with consular processing. The question I have is, should I also send photographs and videos from marriage ceremony along with I-130 as evidence of bona fide marriage? Or does that happen at a later time? I am also planning to send affidavits from relatives on the bona fide nature of our marriage.

Thanks in advance.

It's adviceable to send proofs along with your petition such as wedding pics, boarding pass of trips taken together if any, affidavits as well.

The wait for a visa might take a while though.

Citizenship next step!

no no need to send videos to show relaitionship... You can send pictures as evidence. You can use letters/etc from friends too... things that show joint relaitions like finances etc.

For the I-130 Petition all you need to prove is that you have a "Petition-able Relationship" which is the marriage. There is no requirement to prove it's a Bona fide Marriage.

Bare minimum is your Marriage Certificate. In addition to that I only included copies of our birth certificates to establish our identities and my status as a USC.

Be prepared with provide evidence of Bona Fide marriage at interview time and even more at Removal of Conditions.

You have to be a US citizen to use direct consular filing.

What I meant was, I file the I-130, and when the time comes, she will go for an interview at the consulate in Georgia. I don't think I have to be a US citizen for that, do I? Since my wife is not going to be in the US we can't file for adjustment of status.

An LPR can't just file for adjust of status in the states either. You have to wait until a visa number is available in you class. You need a number in the F2A class which is currently working on visas from 2008.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
