Hi everybody, as you all may know my husband is a disabled veteran.we would like to know how and to who would we send an expedite request due to medical issues on his part. He is the petitioner and I am the beneficiary. Would we still qualify for an expedite due to him need my help. The doctor said he is willing to write a letter stating my husband issues. Does it need to be addressed to uscis directly from the doctor or not. Please give me all info that you can supply me with. I thank you all very much.

ok your husband first needs to call the uscis and place a service request for an expedite. preferably with a tier 2 operative. they will take down his details and reasons and then send a request for further info from him. this will arrive in the mail a few days later. once you receive that, the evidence in reponse can be sent in the mail or faxed, in the meantime you can compile the evidence the uscis will need. the dr letter can be addressed 'to whom it may concern' followed by the specialist reasons you are requesting an expedite.

Here's how you do it. Contact your US Senator website

download a release statement giving them right to do

work for you.

TO be able to file for expedite you must qualify by

medical reasons or financial reason like an emergency

or hard ship.

A letter stating your reason of expedite and why?

And if financial reason if business is expected to

close or if your in a BK situation.

Of course it must be serious enough for them to

grant an expedite.

Like your husband bed ridden and cant care for himself

like has cancer operation and need attention 24/7

and you need to assit in his medical needs on a ongoing bases.

Once if your accepted the Senetor will have a case worker

assigned to you working for you to be the middle man between

USCIS and senators office.

Than the case is sent to the USCIS for approval. If approved

you will be notified and than expedited.

Time frame depends on where your claim is at the present time

they will work to expedite it.

Expect some time before your denied or excepted. as it take some

for the process like anything else.

Also if a US congressman they have a USCIS laisian at the USCIS

who can do the research for your also to get answers.

But you have to request and give a good reason why the inquiry

like your past the 180 days and havent heard from USCIS and your case

was not approved.

By the way I'm 100% P&T from the VA and SSDI

im doing the expedite also.

Good Luck

You will need to call USCIS customer services and request an expedite, make sure you ask to speak to a Tier 2 representative. They will ask you what grounds you are requesting your expedite. Give them your email address if you have one. In a couple of days, you will either be emailed or mailed with a request for information from USCIS. They will ask you to fax any doctors letters for the attention of a specific officer. They will also ask for the letters to be in "layman's" terms and will ask wether the medical condition is acute or chronic, along with the prognosis. Once you have faxed the documents, you should call USCIS every week to check the status. Make sure you always speak to a Tier 2 rep.

You do NOT have to ask for intervention from a U.S senator, but you can if you wish. When we expedited, we were approved without any help from a senator.

GOOD LUCK :)

Alright

I submitted my SSDI letter of award and my VA P&T VA award letter

along with the letter stating im retired and have 5k per month as

income from SSDI and the VA. Since this money is TAX free as a US

Veteran you dont need to show past taxes for the income.

Submit a current bank statement with your monthly deposit of funds from

the US treasury department to USCIS. From SS and the VA.

This is well over 60k per year they will check it out ! I haven't

been sent a RFE also I have an attorney. Since he does Immigration

he advised me what and how to do it.

I have well over 50k in the bank and it more than enough to show support

if not and they request a co sponsor, I have the documents ready incase

I need one and they request it. I'm ready to submit the co sponsors

3 years tax returns and I-864 ready to go and bring with me to the Interview

if they need to see it. If NVC will have it if they want or need it

ready to go if they want it.

BY the time I get to the interview I will have well over 75k there.

Also another person here already give the way to address it also like I did.

Good Luck

Your Welcome,

Let me know your out come after you get a reply.

I also know you have to wait until your approved before

they will do the Expedite. My case worker for my congressman wrote me

a letter today and said he talked to the USCIS Congressional Laisason

at the TSC and they said they cant process my Expedite until January

14th or after approval.

Good Luck

Just wanted to add a reminder to you, in case you don't already know, and for posterity. A granted expedite request only works for he USCIS portion of the petition, meaning it is only good to receive the NOA2. It does not extend to the consular processing phase.
