Hello everybody!

I had my medical done in Spain on August 2010. Now I'm about to go for the AOS and I need my vaccine history to be transcribed.

There's this one doctor who says that she HAS TO do the TB skin test to me plus transcribe my vaccine history = 65 usd (if it's complete)

My question is the following: I remember I had in the medical the chest X-Ray as TB test. Do I really NEED to have the skin test done?

Thank you and hopefully you are having a great holidays!

God bless :)

I had to have it done in the USA, even though, just like you, I had a chest x ray done in slovenia.

No you dont. It's part of the medical and you're not having a new medical. There is a Q&A here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextchannel=68439c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextoid=1758d5b07655b110VgnVCM1000004718190aRCRD search for "Q: If an applicant is required to receive only the vaccinations, and not undergo the entire medical exam, does he/she have to submit the entire Form I-693?"

"If you are a K-1, K-2, K-3 or K-4 visa holder the I-693 instructions state that you are not required to have another medical examination as long as your Form I-485 is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination." Additionally, As long as the medical form DS-3025 did not indicate any problems with the TB test or your DS-3025 form was not marked “incomplete, you should not need the TB skin test. However, many have stated that they received a RFE for not filling an I-693 application. To be safe, you should request that the civil surgeon complete a “partial” I-693 process. This could not incur the normal cost.

Hello,

Yes exactly, this civil surgeon I called told me that she would do the I-693 partially (vaccination part) and then she said they HAD TO do the Tb skin test. Today I found out that 65 is the cost of her transcribing my vaccine history. She does the TB skin test for no additional price.

Thank you so much for your answers :)
