Put "None" if you dont have one.

You will only have one if you have had dealing with US immigration before.

11/29/10: NOA1 arrives!(dated as 11/18/10)

03/17/11: Touched

04/08/11: I-130 APPROVAL!!

141 days from NOA1 to NOA2

27/04/11: Emailed Choice of Agent form

~{gap as I spent the summer in England}~

03/11/11: Paid AOS and IV fees

04/11/11: AOS and IV fees shown as PAID

You don't have one yet because you enterd as a tourist/visitor. You will get an A number for your AOS and it will be on your first NOA.

Just wright NONE in that spot.

I know this is an old thread, but as it addresses my question I thought I'd ask here. I'm filing form I-130 for my wife in order to obtain an IR1 visa. She currently has a B-2 visa, issued in July 2012.

Will she have an "A File Number" associated with her previous visa, or should we just write "NONE"?

You will be assigned an A-number by the Lockbox facility and it will be on the NOAs that you receive from them.
