Can USC spouse divorce and take away cond green card?

I have a question about a situation I recently read about...

Let's say a USC husband wants to keep his immigrant wife in line (so to speak) so he threatens to "divorce her and take away her conditional green card".

What are this woman's option if he follows through on his threats?

Isn't she able to remove conditions on her own as long as she can show entering the marriage in good faith? What evidence would she need? I don't know for sure, but I don't think he has allowed her access to his finances.

Since your spouse did not issue the green card, the spouse cannot take it away

You may remove conditions if you can prove the marriage was entered in good faith

As a matter of fact, in case of a divorce, the green card holder can then file to remove conditions with a waiver of the joint filing requirement, and can do so the moment a divorce is final NO needing to wait until within 90 days of the 2 year card expiration.
