Should be able marry in Ukraine if the local authorities allow this.

However in the case of CR-1/IR-1 visa, US Department of State may require visa interview in home country (Egypt)

I agree. It starts to get real complicated involving so many authorities, much less trying to obtain the proper documentation in a timely manner.

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

Hello

I'm a American citizen living in Ukraine for while my Cr-1 Visa IS being

processed. I married my Ukraine wife in June returned back to BH after wedding

and spending some time here. Started my CR-1 Visa in July 31, 2010 my NOA-1 is

08/04/2010.

If you have to He or she needs to go to the US Embassy in Kiev and ask for

the Letter of Non-impediment to marriage and have them stamp it, than go

to the Ukraine Ministry of Foreign Affairs and have it leaglized from the

Ukraine government, than this paper can be taken to any city shots office with

both of your passports and past marriges/divorce and sign up to wait a 30 day

peroid required by Ukraine law. You must get married at the Ukraine marriage

office in the city or region you live. The day of your marriage, you will

be issued your marriage certificate after your wedding.

Than have your marriage certificated translated into English at a notorized

office an translated into English to submit with your I-130. You must also

have or provide any other papers required to submit as part of your I-130.

There is no law Ukraine or American that forbids you from marriage as long

as you meet the reuirements of American US laws and US Embassy and the Ukraine

Ministry of Foreign affairs and the Ukraine Marriage Shots office.

Interview of Ukraine man will be at US Embassy in Kiev after the CR-1 Visa

There are numerous hoops to jump through for a foreigner to marry a Ukrainian in Ukraine. Two foreigners marrying each other in Ukraine may well be a major problem. You need a non-immigration related country specific answer to the marriage issue. However, ALL immigrant spouse visa interviews are held in the country of residence or citizenship. In most cases that boils down to country of citizenship, in this case Egypt.

Just check with the Egypt Embassy in Kiev and Ukraine and ask them what the necessary step are.

As far as Ukraine is concerned you have to have the letter in no-indemdiment letter form from Egypt

Embassy and take it to the Ukraine Misistry of Foreign Affaris and have it legalized.

The Ministry of Foreign will tell you how and the best way to be married.

Good Luck
