We called nvc the this week and they informed us that we got an RFE. So we provide all docs that they wanted from us,

we sent the original marraige contract and benificiary's original birth certificate on last thursday via express mail and probably nvc got it on friday (i hope)

TODAY, i got an email from nvc it was 3 pages a CHECKLIST, A COVER LETTER with under the bar code is CHECKLIST LETTER RESPONSE, and an INSTRUCTIONS telling us to provide the RFE, which is actually we already sent few days ago regarding original Marraige and birth.

Now, on there email they type like this "Please include a copy of this letter with your correspondence and write your case number clearly on the upper right-hand corner of all the documents" which is WE FAILED to do it.

We just knew about our RFE through phone that's why we took an action right away on the same day we talked the nvc.

I was so confused and worried again, my husband used the cover letter(with a bar code) which they sent to us a month ago (thats the first cover letter they emailed to us). As a major and constant Instructions, He put the cover letter on top of the original documents and sent it right away.

My question is are we on the safe side? or maybe expecting an RFE again because of failing to do there delayed instructions?

Thank you for reading my concern and really appreciated your idea or comments from this.

Sis, maybe you should call them and talk to an operator, much better to a supervisor and tell them what happened. Maybe they will consider it. Tell them you sent the RFE response right away hoping that you could save time by responding asap.

Just talk to the operator they will tell you exactly if you are on the safe side.

If you were using the shortcuts and sending items as soon as possible then this is what we call a "false RFE". That means the request for documents was sent at a time they already had your documents but have not yet logged them into their system. There's about a three week lag right now between the time you send them anything and when they actually know they have it. If you're sure everything they are asking for was already sent, you can simply do nothing about this request. Don't worry about the case numbers. It happens all the time and rarely causes any problems.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

call the operator and speak to them...plus the barcode is similar to that of the previous one I also got fake RFE and looked into th barcode page which dint look any different

True, the bar coded sheets simply identify the case and does not change throught the process. It allows them to quickly scan the document and route it to where it's system states it should go.
