Well...finally the petition is on its way to the Texas service center. I have this strange mix of feelings- first relief that its finally completed and in the mail and second dread that I forgot to sign something. left a blank or made some other mistake.

I know its been said before, but everyone on this forum made the process of compiling everything so much easier. Not sure I could have done it alone. Thanks to everyone for all the great advice and experiences shared here.

Good luck to evereyone ahead of me and to those who will be getting in the line right behind me soon.

Settle in... don't have high hopes for a quick turnaround, and you'll be fine. Your petition will be transferred from the TSC to the CSC, so expect a longer delay for the NOA1 than people had a few months ago.

Jul 5 - Receipt date for I-130 petition for my over 21 brother and his wife (both in the UK)

2024

Feb 23 - Sent USCIS a message asking for a processing update

May 6 - Received an email response saying things were progressing normally but that waiting times might be longer

Sept 16 - NOA1s received

2014

Feb 25, 26 & 28 - got emails saying that the cases had been transferred to another office, then to my local office, and then just transferred and are being processed

Mar 17 - got email, attached to one case number only, saying that my A number was changed relating to the I-130 filing

Good Luck!!! Try your hardest to not get worried or impatient while waiting for the NOA1. I mailed mine on August 8 and it took a little bit of time to transfer from TSC to CSC. My NOA1 has a notice date of August 18th. But, my check didn't clear until August 24th and I didn't receive a notice until then either. So it will come, I promise!!!!! Keep us posted on your case, as will I.....:)
