Filling out forms- resident vs. citizen of foreign country

Just starting the process... wish us luck! I think we're going to need it.

My fiance is a Moroccan, but studying in the EU. He has residence papers there. For the address, should he write down EU or Morocco? He's in each place about 50% of the time...

Thanks!

The problem is that it changes from month to month between the two. He's in Italy about 6 months out of the year, Morocco the rest... but it varies. This is why it is confusing.

Maybe I should add an addendum with a letter stating that Morocco is his permanent address, but that he often is at school at that address? Or would that just make things worse?

You've got to pick one. Where would he like to be interviewed, have his medical exam?

He's insisting on Morocco, though it seems to me like it would be easier coming from Italy. I just don't want to be dishonest on the forms, or have it a reason for them to deny us because we were "dishonest" when we really just don't know what is the more honest answer!

As long as the mail (from the Consulate) sent to his address in Morocco can be forwarded to him somehow it ought not to matter.

He's a student. They live away from home. Should not be a problem.

Pick an address and stick with it. Ideally it should be where he can receive his mail reliably, and where he will be able to attend the interview and get his medical examination completed.

Thank you all, this is very helpful.

Morocco it is!

Do you think it is important to mention anywhere that he has residency papers in the EU and is studying and therefore, resides there part of the year? Again-- just trying to be as transparent and honest as possible from the very beginning!

He will list all the places that he's lived for the last 5 years on his form G325A.
