Hi guys,

I have some questions about I-864 ( sponsoring). My wife and I have filed the I-130 petition for visa immigration. Now, we are asked to bring more papers (paket 3) among which I-864 form is. So, since my wife has only worked 2 years as she's 21 now. and that she's been living with me in Morocco for more than 8 months constantly

This means that she can't provide the Visa Immigration Unit ( at the US consulate which we filed at)with:

A- One missing year.

B- last 6 months pay stubs.

N.B: My wife is still living with me here in Morocco, but as she doesn't speak Arabic nor French she can't work. Plus, she's new to the country and she'll get lost. and the culture is very different here..etc

Thank you in advance.

Submit what you have got... since she is not financially capable of sponsoring you, then you need another sponsor in addition to her who is qualified

YMMV

Ah not sure what you are applying for as you have no time line, but if she the petitioner or beneficiary? I take it she is the latter as she is new to Morocco. You are USC yes? In our 864 we just put my husbands details as I don't work either. You are supporting her? They just need your details.

Divorced !st November 2012.

Your USC wife will still need to fill in a I-864. If she made no money for the last three years, she didn't have to file taxes and shuld provide a short, signed letter stating so.

You will need to either find a co-sponsor (USC or LPR who will stand guarantor for you, and also fills in a I-864), or sponsor on assets (x3 of required yearly income).

Wife is the petitioner, I gather.

Thank you guys for your helpful tips. and yes my wife is U.S citizen and she's the petitioner. I guess i'll get her brother as a joint sponsor and make a letter explaining why she can't provide the last 6 months pay stubs and that she can only provide the last 2 years tax returns.

Thanks lots :)
