I really do think

the Bluenose is a Canadian symbol. It's on the dime and everything! And the correct answer, A, is stupid. The Canadian flag IS the maple leaf

for cryin' out loud!

I always laugh at those posts and sort of feel sad for those people! Why would someone take time out of their day to post something like that?? Ya, thats pretty sad!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I know it is funny and a little sad. One thing is obvious though NVC FAN knows nothing about Canada.

Especially becuase we currently have a conservative government, so I guess all Canadians aren't democrats (which is an American party anyway)

I got 19/20.

I missed the LaFontaine one. I had no idea who that was until I just googled him now. That Poli Sci degree I have is really doing me well.. :lol:

If you're going to say you have no desire to visit Canada, fine, but at least give a reason that is actually accurate. Like it's cold, and people are too nice. We're definitely not all democrats. To be a democrat means you a member of an organized political party, a political party that does not exist in Canada. "Democrat" is not a political ideology. I think you want to say all Canadians are "liberal" which also isn't true. We currently have a "conservative" government, which is that other mainstream political ideology floating around out there.
