Saturday - Woke up at 4 am with the baby, got ready for an open house, woke up hubby at 630... we had loads of stuff in the garage we went through which we packed up and donated before we went over to the open house - we spent the day together, which is always awesome! went to the bank, pharmacy, dropped baby off at parents', open house for 4 hours, grabbed lunch, went back to parents'- grabbed the boy, visited, came home, dragged out the Christmas tree, cleaned the house, countless diapers, feeding, clothes changes, bath, organized all the branches, laundry, fb, vj, dinner, watched tv with hubby, more baby stuff & playing with him, shower, bed..1 am feeding, woke up again today at 4.

Sunday - baby had a red & swollen eye so we brought him to the ER at 6am, spent a few hours there(he's ok, thank God!), went and got him meds, then brunch w the parents, the hubby installed a surround sound for them, I went through some stuff there that I haven't brought over to my house yet, baby stuff -diapers, clothes changes, feedings, etc, then home, dinner, internet, tv - Dexter and Walking Dead while I folded baby clothes, hanging with hubby. Tended to a crying & fussy baby til 1ish am. Waited for him to go to sleep then I clipped his nails which took AGES. Finally went to bed @ 230. He woke up at 6. Now I'm at work, making a zillion phone calls, and have loads to do today.

What's sleep like these days? lol

I didn't get where I am today by not having a prepared fall back position in case she goes off with Jose the gardener and part time male pole dancer

--Woke up early to make sure I got to staff meeting on time.

--Went to school to find said meeting cancelled.

--Went out for breakfast with colleague.

--Taught kindergarteners to write their alphabets and numbers.

--A colleague dropped me home after work.

--Had a nice conversation with Mr. Sachinky about our old college friends.

--Chinese buffet for dinner.

--Now flippin' through Cosmo and reading VJ.

hmm,..had two cups of coffee

sitting on the couch waitin for them to set fire too this "bomb house" in Escondido.

happy that I am not on I15 that has been closed while house is set on fire.

also happy it is not next thusrday they do this.

have to write customs forms for overseas presents, so i can send out today.

The timeline... (Frankfurt) for the kids visas

10/22/2007 Filed I-130 x 2 in person + paid 710 USD (355 each )

10/22/2007 Filed DS-230 part 1 x 2

10/22/2007 Received the document checklist and FRN (case) numbers

12/18/2007 I-130 petition approved, but I didn't know. I was away at the time, didn't get confirmation letters til I got back from the states.

12/20/2007 Notice of Approval arrives in tha mail. According to the date received stamp on back of envelope at my post box.

Will now wait til hubby is back from Iraq to fax in checklist readiness, even though, I have been ready since day of lodging I-130's. all except medical.

02/18/2008 Faxed the "checklist" back to the consulate.

02/25/2008 Medicals completed.

02/25/2008 Appt letters in mail for appt on March 7th. Cant go due to prior military commitments. Emailed consulate and received an amended appt date of March 12th 2008.

03/12/2008 Visa interview - APPROVED x 2

03/27/2008 Visa's finally generated. I emailed the consulate. they apologised for the delay. They forgot to issue the visas after approval.

03/31/2008 Received visas

04/26/2008 Flying out of Frankfurt to next duty station on orders.

My cell phone went through a full washer cycle on Saturday

and this morning I could charge it successfully and it seemed

to be OK when I turned it on.

When I tried to make a few calls I quickly discovered that

the people I was talking to couldn't hear me because

the microphone on my cell was water damaged.

Tonight I'm going to try it with the wireless earpiece and

also the wired earpiece, each of which have their own

microphones.

I'm a little wary that the problem may NOT be the microphone

but the hardware part of the phone that does the transmission,

as I can hear myself speak when I turn the speaker on.
