Perhaps they are trying to make a statement and are covering up their insecurities?

If they wish to make a statement, why just put on a flag pin and then hide in your cube? Why be so quiet in meetings and act to petulant when asked a question? If you wish to make a statement, make it! Say something!

They lack self confidence and are afraid to speak up.

Because they are passive aggressive imbeciles. Where I work, it's a different situation. I work in law enforcement, alot of the officers have them. I don't think they are trying to make the same passive aggressive statement that they are more Amurikan than anyone else.

around here, if you don't wear a flag pin you get moved from project to project. most of them don't have beards.

Wow, weird.

AJ, are you simply trying to identify some unifying characteristic of tea party members?

Don't hijack this thread. I know seeing Charles post sends a tingle down your thighs, but do try to resist :jest:

You wish AJ.

Why do you think people at your work, and probably across the country are wearing flag pins more now than say 6 months ago? I thought the whole flag pin issue during the 08 campaign was laughable, then Obama actually started wearing one and it got even more lame. Sorry, a flag pin doesn't imbue super patriotic status to you.
