There was a time when I checked the pc constantly waiting for my email notification. I saw a wave of people getting approved over a month ago and that got my hopes up that at any moment, or any day I would have mine. Now it seems that was a fluke and CSC is on strike. I no longer seem to have any expectations other than if I check my email, for it to be empty. No touches in over a month also. Hardly any approvals on here.

Basically, I know it will eventually come. But I dont really expect it anytime soon after having my hopes up and crushed so many times.

(so glad I am going to see her. It helps with this)

Hey, where's the Wolf who was always encouraging others??? I know you're in there...come out.

Hang in there, I know, easier said than done. (L)(F)(F)(L)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Hey, dont take it I'm giving up on us. No way I could ever do that. She is everything. I am giving up on my expectations that the CSC will accomidate my desire to be with her permanately anytime within the foreseeable future. Hense, the ticket to visit. Actually when I do eventually see noa2, I am sure I will be so shocked I will not believe it is not a joke to start with

With all that said, for some reason, I feel less stress...gotta be the trip coming up. Or maybe not having to feel guilty each time I talk to her that I have no news?

I felt the same way right before my NOA2... in fact, I was grateful for having an excuse to be away from my computer for 4 days. I went out of town on a business trip and sure enough, David sent an sms to tell me that we'd been approved. A watched pot never boils, right?

Take a break and enjoy your reunion...

Jen

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

Here's a fortune cookie message for you, wolf.

OMG Mew! You found it. I was wondering where it was. Thanks for the smile...

Let me clarify something. I am not in a bad mood or anything. Actually more in the sarcasm state. This is not self pity, just a realization that making assumptions or having expectations here can have a negative effect by letting us down. For now, I am along for the ride and I just will HOPE (since you helped me find it) that its a short trip to the desired location.

ALL ABOARD, to the train with the engineer that is too drunk to follow the route that is intended.

Wolf,

One of the things that Mel and I worried about when we received a fast approval, was dear people like yourself who have not received your own approval. You have waited a long time and you deserve an approval right now.

Know that we are praying for you and your fiance that you will stay encouraged and not lose your hope yet.

"Do not cast away your confidence which has great reward, that after having persevered you will receive the promise...: That is a promise from God's Word, and Mel and I pray that for you and your finace in the P.I.

I think that sometimes we need to get to the end of ourselves so that we realize none of this is really up to us, that we don't have any control over it. It is then that we turn to the Lord and just ask Him for Mercy and that He will help us. This is all that we could do in our own waiting, which was not nearly as long as yours..."Lord please help our friend Wolf and grant Him an approval in the next couple of days"

Wolf, when we put our trust in the world, we always end up disappointed. And putting our trust in government bureaucracy is downright laughable! It's material for a stand-up comedy routine! But when you put your trust in God, you're reminded that the same loving father who took care of you yesterday will continue to look after you today. He may have put your visa on pause just to remind you of this.

Putting your "trust" in God is fine, but make sure you are diligent in your efforts to keep the govt. folks on task. After all, it was God who gave you a brain to think and fingers to dial the telephone numbers. And I agree, going to visit will help bunches. I too am going to see my gal in nine days. While we have been approved, I am half-convinced that our file will stay boxed in the embassy warehouse in Manila for a month or more. That is why I continue to go see her whenever I have the opportunity. It's my way of staying in touch with her, and also allowing myself to think at least I have "control" over something.

Hmm. For those of you that are discussing God.

1) I lit a candle I think yesterday from that site.

2) Not only do I pray, and believe it is in his hands, but we say prayer together each day (often multiple times) together. I say our prayers before ending each conversation.

3) I know that PART of this holdup was a blessing. It allowed us to learn even more an get closer to one another. We also learned how much we need each other and will not let anything stand in the way of us being together. It also shows our dedication to one another. So, it wasnt all bad.

As for now, we have been through this and learned what we believe we were supposed to. At this point, yes we are at Gods mercy. We to ask for this so that we can forever be together soon. I of course include the other marchers in the prayers now. Now it just seems to be when the time is right, the prayer will be answered.

Oh yea: Senator 'dont call back before 9/11' and Congressmen 'call back after 9/22'. We know that the 800# dont really give any results so I have tried, believe me. I am sure the senators office will love the letter sent to them regarding their apathy.

Wolf,

I can sympathize with you buddy. My approval took 154 days. Meanwhile, seeing others approved in as little as 7 days, really burned my azz. Nothing against the petitioner, but the process.

Just realize that you will soon be approved and reunited. That is how we are holding on.

The good people on this site supported me during my lowest points, for that I am grateful. We are now here for you and the rest that continue to wait.

You will get there soon.
