Does anyone know whether you have to have received the biometrics letter to do the walk in? Or can you just go and do it before you receive it? I haven't got mine yet, but I'm anxious to get this moving along.

they wonttake your fingerprints without your green card AND your biometric letter. they have to stamp it

Got my Fingerprint taken today, the whole process between walking in and out took only 15 minutes, there was only like 5 of us good.gif. Now wait for the interview letter smile.gif

Thanks Safroot! Actually, I was joking. This wait is nothing. I waited 5 years just to get my green card through employment. Add 5 more years for citizenship, so I'm at 10 years in the process LOL What is a few more months!!! :D

Ok, so did I mention I get crazy when dealing with USCIS? LOL...now I'm freaking out because everyone is getting fingerprint letters and I have not heard a word, am I the only one who turns into a paranoid schizophrenic when dealing with USCIS ? is this because I requested a name change back to my maiden name? or perhaps because as I just realised today that where it asks for my childrens full names I put only thier first names and not surname?

Just thought of another question, when I get a biometrics letter, it will most likely send me to the Bronx again, I am almost exactly in the middle between Albany and NYC, is there somewhere nearer that I could do a walk in? I am in Ulster County NY

Ok, so did I mention I get crazy when dealing with USCIS? LOL...now I'm freaking out because everyone is getting fingerprint letters and I have not heard a word, am I the only one who turns into a paranoid schizophrenic when dealing with USCIS ? is this because I requested a name change back to my maiden name? or perhaps because as I just realised today that where it asks for my childrens full names I put only thier first names and not surname?

Don't worry darklady109, i'm sure if it was a problem with your children's name they would have returned your application package for you to correct. so i think this is related to the weather conditions over there in NY or may be the local office they are trying to schedule you in for FP didn't have appointments. just hang in there and hopefully you will get something soon
