can anybody tell me we recieved our i-130 approved email..with reciept no but the reciept is not working on the website but our cheque is cash how many days should we have to wait...please need ur help ???

If you check is yet to be cashed, how can they approve your I130?

I think you are at the beginning of the stage right? So the email you received is telling you that USCIS has received the petition. It will take a about 5-6mos for you to be approved. Normally, it takes about two to three weeks for the check to be cashed. Once that happens they will assign the case number which you can then check on the USCIS website.

The moment you realize your cash has been checked go to your bank website. Take a look at the image of the check and look on the back. Your case number will be printed there. Often just add one to the last number and you will get your case number. For example if it is WAC1234568887 you will add 1 to the last digit so that is 8

If you re-read your electronic notice of receipt email, you'll notice that they suggest waiting to check the website until you receive the hardcopy NOA1. Also, be certain you know that you I-130 has not been "approved", it's just been accepted for processing.

Check their website, they have up to 5 months to process and decide. Use your receipt number to check for any update on their site.

i see the cheque there r soo many numbers..on the back...so shud i add 1 in the last thats it? tell me clear this please

Add 1 to the last digit of the numbers starting with 3 letters. I.E WAC1234567 will turn to WAC1234568.

You will receive your I-130 Receipt Notice in 1 to 2 weeks time by mail.

Being impatient here but trying to check for a number on the back of the check, and there doesnt seem to be one starting with 3 letters (although they didnt exactly scan it in well!)

I don't know if I *can* learn patience, as this process will certainly try mine! We have an atty on the advice of a few of our friends, and our package was mailed two days after yours. Hoping to hear something soon

Lol.. anybody who has gone through this process could teach tibetan monks a thing or 2 about patience!! The juice is worth the squeeze though, I have been here for 6 months after a 3 year wait.. and the 3 years just melt away into the distance!
