:dance::dancing::dance: Our I-130 was just approved on Monday! Thank God. My wife and I are so excited. I know we still have a ways to go, but it just feels good to know we're moving along. :dance::dancing::dance:

From what I see from others, it looks like it take the NVC about 14 weeks from assigning a case number to case complete, correct ??? I had already read about James's shortcuts for the NVC, a couple of weeks ago. Does anyone know about how much time the short cuts save ?

Congrats!!! The process takes about 2 1/2 to 3 months to process then sends to the embassy, from what I understand James shortcuts shaves the time a few weeks and seems really helpful. Check out Aussie's thread in the NVC forum, it will tell you how to use the short cuts. Good Luck.

Congratulations! The shortcut can save you upto few weeks. Do your choice of agent by email and prepare the DS 230 in advance. If everything goes fine, then your case at the NVC can be complete by 10-12 weeks.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

Definitely. Thanks for the help and sharing the joy guys. I can definitely say VJ has been a BIG theraputic help for me during this whole process. For all those worrying, just think they just approved my wife's petition, and she lives in Iran. You guys CAN'T be far behind :D
