Urgent Help Needed- Received Wrong GC

Hi,

We just received the wrong GC (CR1 instead of IR1) despite informing the officer at POE that we had been married more than 2 years (he looked at our marriage certificate too).

What is the best way to correct this? Would it be better to make an infopass appointment than sending the replacement form by mail? Also any estimates on how long it would take to receive the correct card? Thanks.

i hi i think that happens often, it happen to my wife thay sent a card in her madien name we where married, we called the 1-8oo number got a io explain to him he checked and said sorry for the administrative mistake, no charge thay will send a new one in married name it took about a month and a helf to arrive, good luck

File an I-90 and document that it was their mistake so their's no fee. Infopass will either mislead you or tell you the same as my first sentence.
