Well, after a long wait for my NOA2, and hoping that it would go quickly at the NVC, called in today at found out our case is is in AP. Our NOA2 was 10/25 NVC recieved 11/1.

Can anyone share any experiences, from AP at NVC? what could they need? is it a good idea to involve my Congressional Reps to find out? I don't want our case languish forever at NVC..if they need something from me, I can provide it, just want to know what I can do to move it along.

I was in AP at the NVC no need to worry it will only be no more than 30days including the weekends. They wont request any additional info. It is more than likely going through more background checks that is all. when I was there they did not request anything else just more random checks and according to them it was done in 15days (they dont count the weekends) so no worries you will be fine....Once it is out of there it will move fast and you will forget you were even in AP.........

Everyone has AP at NVC. Then you'll get AP while at the Embassy. It's all normal. We were there for three weeks.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

I thought that the world would end for me when they told me that they had me in AP. I stressed a lot; I called a lot. As you can see from my signature, AP was only about 11 days and then the petition was off to the embassy. Never a letter or a question from NVC.

You'll be fine.
