Hello everybody!!

Well, I'm from Morocco, My girlfriend is from U.S.

So, I've known her through Internet for almost One year.

I've never met Her in person.

She will not be able to come to Morocco simply, because She cares of her Mom who is SICK.

As you see, i have no choice, I should go to Her.

I only have 3 questions are:

1 - What am i supposed to do in this case?

2 - What obstacles that will may be waiting for me?

3 - What are the best advices that i must follow?

( I don't want to be disappointed or surprised in future, that's why I need to know all probabilities that will may happen).

Thanks for Reading.

You can apply for a tourist visa at the US Embassy. You will need to show the interviewing officer that you have strong ties to home (job, own or rent a home, enrolled in university).

Requirements for the K1 Visa

A. You and your fiance are legally eligible to marry under the laws of your country as well as the laws of the U.S.

B. You will marry the petitioning U.S. citizen within 90 days of entering the U.S.

C. You intend to enter the U.S. solely to marry the U.S. citizen

D. You have met the U.S. citizen within the last two years before filing for the K1 fiance visa. However, this requirement can be waived only if meeting your fiance in person would violate long-established customs, or would create extreme hardship for you

This you would have to prove and Morocco is considerd a high fraud country and it is already hard for couples to prove a bona-fide relationship with several trips meeting in person. There are probably no guarantees they will even consider an approval without meeting at least once in person. Sometimes things may not appear as it seems on-line without physical touch and emotions and meeting of family and vise versa. Isn't it only logical to meet in person to see if you both are experiencing genuine REAL feelings?......she could get a sitter for her to at least visit you only if its just for two weeks Morocco. Surely she has friends or family who can help out. I had only visited my husband once in nov 2008...again in April 2009 when we married and in 2010 (even thought its nearing the end of the year) I have not visited him any this year 'cause of waiting for immigration this year almost taking about 8 months so we patiently waited. Both my trips could only last about two weeks with my work schedule. we got approved & he has his visa but I kept up with every e-mail chat record since our very first meetings on-line. I would encourage you both do this.

Its going to be a long process so I encourage you to burn your logs onto CD's incase your computer ever crashes from a sudden unexpected virus to not lose important key evidence of your relationship.

Most all visitor's visa's to come and visit a lady fiance or friend gets rejected. I met a lady on the plane who had a mere friend in tourist business she visited every year and he applied she said 10 times and never accepted and you lose those fees. Im sure if I am wrong someone here on VJ will correct me. Good luck to you both.

I hate to say it my friend, but you are out of luck. In order to get a fiance visa, you must have met the US Citizen petitioner within 2 years of her sending in the petition. This can be waived, but only if the US Citizen can prove that 1.) air travel is not possible due to extreme illness, or 2.) that the intended spouse's culture prohibits meeting before marriage. No other way to get it waived. Visitor visas are very rarely issued from Morocco for young, single males. The only people who easily get a visitor visa are the parents of Moroccans who are already living in the US. I have a good friend who has a steady, good paying job, $10,000 in his bank account, a car, and a house, and he has been denied a visitor visa twice. He's 24 years old, and they simply told him he is too young. Even if you were in a country that had a lower rate of fraud, getting a visitor visa when you have a significant other in the States is difficult, because you'd have to prove that you do not intent to immigrate.

Your girlfriend has to come to Morocco. There is no other way for you to join her in the States.

Excuse me but why should i apply for a tourist visa when i want to go to U.S to get married with her there?

if you wanna enter the country to marry her, your only option is k-1,which like squeaky said is nearly impossible to do without having met the petitioner, aka your fiance.

do not fall for the whole enter the country with a visitors visa, then marry her and adjust status deal,as its visa fraud.

and also as im sure most people will agree getting a k-1 visa in morocco is hard, its usually suggested that people go with CR-1 or other marriage based options unless they have a LOT of evidence.

Because you CANNOT apply for a fiancee visa without meeting her in person first and of course you must be together to get married and file for a spouse visa.

If she cannot come to you, you have no choice but to apply for a tourist visa.

It's very hard for a Moroccan to get a tourist visa to the U.S.

It's very hard for a Moroccan to get a tourist visa to the U.S.

Then apply for a visa to another place and meet her in person there.....or....have her find home care services and have her come to your country. You only need to meet in person for about 5 seconds and then she can leave on the next flight back.

But....your biggest problem will be convincing the Embassy during your interview for the K-1 visa that you have a legitimate relationship. Read up on the regional forum for others' experiences......you may have to change your entire plan.
