Hello Vjers:

I am going to send in my AOS package today but I will not be sending the I-693 form because my husband already had his

medical checkup in Nigeria. When he arrived the immigration officer took his medical results in the envelope. My husband

bought with him two large yellow envelopes and a yellow vaccination card. We are in possesion of thes two items. Do I

have to submit this I-693 form because we are applyin within one year of his medical exam in Nigeria. I don't want to

recieve an RFE. Please advise me. ..... Thanks guys.

Well when I sent my husbands AOS package, my husband did not send the I 693. He didn't even visit the Civil Surgeon and we didn't receive an RFE nor did the IO at the interview

For his greencard say anything. She just asked if he had any Communicable diseases. It really depends on your adjudicating officer or the immigration officer. I hope I was helpful.

You don't have to have a new medical done but his vaccinations need to be transcribed over on to the I-693. Get in touch with a civil surgeon in your area which you will find on USCIS site and make an appointment to JUST have the vaccinations transcribed over, you will need part 1.2 and 5 and that's it , they will then give that back to you in a sealed envelope and you send that in with I-485. You will need to take his vaccination record so doc can do this . Hope this helps. Oh make sure they give you a copy of I-693.

If you chose not to send in I-693 your choice as some just send in vaccination report and have no RFE's I just didn't risk it is all.
