Hi all, first I'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to all the thoughtful forum members who take the time to share their experiences and knowledge on this forum. The information shared is oftentimes quite helpful!

I'm an August filer with practically no experience with the visa process. Below is a summary of my story, and as you'll see I'm in the same boat as a few of the forum members contributing to this thread.

08-09-2010: NOA1 (I-130) Received text & email with case number

08-26-2010: I-130 Check Cashed by USCIS

09-09-2010: NOA1 (I129F) Received text & email with case number

11-02-2010: Cases Transferred to Texas

11-04-2010: Both cases touched

11-28-2010: I129F Touched- Received text and email saying case is being processed at a USCIS office

11-29-2010: I129F Touched

11-29-2010: I-130 Touched- Received text and email saying Case Status changed from "Initial Review" to "Post Decision Activity"

I find myself wondering, like a few of you, what exactly "Post Decision Activity" means.

Cheers

I have mixed feelings too - it's just natural given that it's obvious we're not being processed according to the order in which we received our NOA1s. I guess we have to take comfort in the knowledge that we'll probably be approved sooner or later -- hopefully this week for the July filers!!!!

Hello,

I am also one of those who filed I-130 at the end of August, got initially moved to CSC, then on Nov.2nd to TSC. No touches since Nov.4, and today an email with Post Decision Activity stating:

Post Decision Activity

On November 29, 2010, a USCIS office received this case from the State Department with a request that we review it. We will notify you when we complete our review, or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

What could this mean? Please advise. Thank you very much!

haha - I totally understand - it just makes sense that if you are in love with someone, and married to them, then you would want to be with them and establish a home together. You are not alone. There are too many of us in the same boat - many of us who never thought we were obsessive-compulsive but have discovered it on this crazy eternal (or is that 'infernal'?) journey! lol

Good luck with resisting the urge to check your status after 6pm!!!! :)

It sure looks that way - but let's hang in there. It may not feel like it because we so badly want this process to end so we can join our loved ones, but as spouses we are luckier than most other green card applicants out there and even some spousal applicants who have waited longer than some of us. I try to remember that we are still under the 5-month mark and I try to forget all the stuff that looks unfair -- just to stay sane and positive!!! Good luck!!!

Thank you so much for that! Makes me feel better (and helps to take away my urge to eat a pan of brownies. Or a sleeve of Oreos).
