i checked online for the first time today since I have not received hard copies yet, and all my 4 applications are under Initial Review.

Are you going to try to do a biometric walk in? What are you adjusting from? I am an F1 status. I just wonder cause like you said, our timeline is very close!

Yea it saves that amount of time you have to wait for the biometrics. It is worth a try if you have the time. if you search the forum you will find a lot of biometrics walk-in experiences. They have great info and sometime it is even about local locations as well. No harm of giving it a try, if it is done its done. Otherwise, your appointment is still there. ;)

Hi guys. Ok so I just got my bio appointment letter...for December 3rd...what I wanna know is...if you do a walk-in....does that mean your stuff will be completed faster? Won't it mess up things since the system has your bio date registered for a different day? Or does the system just update that you've already done it and processing resumes? Also, could someone please tell me how to make my timeline automatically appear...since others are so helpful to me I'm sure mine might help someone.

Time is the key word here. I would have to ask off from work and I would hate driving there all the way and then being rejected. so, I wait patiently for my appointment. Only one more week and a half.

Of course I am not an expert but looking at other people's time line, it seems to resume after the biometrics have been captured. As for messing up the actual appointment, I don't think this is possible because they scan the actual letter that you have. I also got a touch on the 2 forms the same day. I am assuming that was the biometrics kicking in.

As far as your time line, you need to put it in the signature area to appear on your posts. That is, the top right of this page click Settings >> Profile >> Signature.

Hope this helps!

I completely understand and I would have done the same. Keep tight!! It is not too long from now ;)

Thank you so much! The bar code part makes total sense so I'm much more comfortable about the walk-in...i'm thinking it would essentially update your biometrics date...and that should put your application in the electronic queue for resumption of processing...the original date won't matter

That's what I read and it is the main reason I actually tried it. When I got there, there was a sign that read "All scheduled appointments have priority in line over all walk-in" This made me actually feel a little at ease that a walk-in can be done. On the other hand I read somewhere on this forum that someone saw a sign stating that they would not accept walk-ins and s/he was able to still do it. I think it doesn't matter if you look enough into it.

Try it and you got nothing to lose!
