New prices for I-129F were announced Sept 23rd, maybe this is old news but starting Nov. 23 the prices are being dropped back down to $340 for an I-129F.

Most of us recently had to pay extra when they raised it a lot to $455 in July. Now it's not the end of the world and I am thankful that USCIS was able to lower the price to even I-129Fs compared to other visas (almost all other visas are going up, except for a select few).

Anyway hope and pray I know a lto of us have waited a long time (mostly CSC others too) just wanted to share the news with everyone.

Wow that sucks. I could saved have $155 :(. Oh well, I guess better to spend the extra money and get it filed sooner.

October 12, 2010 - NOA1 received!
October 15, 2010 - First "touch"
October 18, 2010 - Second "touch"
March 7, 2011 - NOA2!!!
March 18, 2011 - NVC forwarded our case to the Montreal Consulate....NOT where we wanted it to go!
March 25, 2011 - Email from Montreal saying that our case would be forwarded to Vancouver - only took one night for a reply from them smile.png
April 5, 2011 - Vancouver has our package!
April 6, 2011 - Received Packet 3 via email - now just waiting on my police certificate.
April 13, 2011 - faxed Packet 3 to Vancouver
April 14, 2011 - received Packet 4 via email
May 4, 2011 - Medical appointment
May 5, 2011 - Interview!! APPROVED smile.png

June 16, 2011 - POE at Blaine Peace Arch Crossing
June 28, 2011 - Got married by Elvis in Vegas!
Aug 8, 2011 - Received SSN in the mail.

Aug 31, 2011 - Sent off AOS Package
Sept 7, 2011 - Package received by USCIS
Sept 9, 2011 - Notice of Action email for AOS, EAD, and AP.
Sept 16, 2011 - Received my Biometrics Appt. letter for the 30th.
Sept 22, 2011 - RFE sad.png
Sept 30, 2011 - Biometrics Appt.
Oct 26, 2011 - Received interview letter for Dec 1st
Nov 4, 2011 - EAD/AP approved
Nov 12, 2011 - Received combo card in the mail
Dec 1, 2011 - Interview - APPROVED smile.png
Dec 9, 2011 - Greencard arrived in the mail!

Oct 18, 2013 - I-751 Package signed for at CA Service Center

Mar 5, 2014 - Approved! Awaiting greencard in the mail

I beleive most other parts of the process, once in the states, AOS, etc, etc are going up though. So they get you one way or another. Just wish we saw some action on the filed petitions.

ROC Timeline

4-26-13------Eligible to file for ROC

6-17-13------Sent off I-751 Package

6-19-13------VSC Received our package. Signed for by K. Fitzgerald

6-24-13------Received NOA in the mail, dated 6-20-13

6-24-13------Check Cashed

7-05-13------Received Biometrics Appointment letter in the mail for 7-18-13

7-18-13------Biometrics done

8-20-13------Case Transferred to CSC for further processing

8-24-13------Transfer notice arrived in the mail today

10-21-13----ROC Approved!

10-25-13----Received approval letter in the mail

10-28-13----Production of 10 Yr Green Card ordered

11-01-13----Card has been mailed!....Received USPS tracking number

11-04-13----10yr Green Card arrived in the mail today....Yay!!

My goal date was November 14th for filing (my birthday) I think I'll wait the extra 9 days and save a few bucks. I'm being extra cautious and making sure every form is filled out completely, every bit of evidence is in order and everything is absolutely perfect before sending. Plus, it give us time to save for other expenses. My fiancé is going to have to fly from New Castle to London twice.. once for his med exam and once for his interview. And all the associated costs with those two things... this extra money will help in the end. Thanks for the update

Well I paid the higer price and it seems also the VISA fee at the consulate goes up too from 131 to 350 the AOS fee is basically the same. they combined the biometrics fee with it so when its all said in done i get to pay more. but they have me by the G****S, I would gladly pay more for a faster process. So the cost really doesn't matter, when at the end I get to be with my fiancee. It would be nice if all the illegals would have to pay as well, but thats a different thread...lol...maybe our fees would be lowere then.

Many of us would pay a fee to expedite the approval.

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

Great. So, the fee that we already paid will go down and the fee we'll pay will go up. I've been doubly screwed! :wacko:

Plus, the CSC does not even appear to be doing anything lately...

Hmmm... I was just thinking. Do you think there will be an onslaught of applications after the fee goes down? People like me waiting to file until then? I certainly don't want to get shoved even further back. Maybe I will just send it in as soon as possible to avoid the rush after the fee change.

nah,i mean they are amazing at creating backlogs without any price matters,look at csc.
