Searching into the depths of the USCIS website and found this massive document that outlines the rules/processes for an adjudicator. Might be interesting/helpful and add some transparency to what goes on at the USCIS.

Nice catch SaraOms. Just picked thru it. Did anyone find any info on the I-129f? I looked in Chapter 21 Family Based Petitions and Applications under 21.3 Petitions for Spouse. I didnt see anything said about Fiance or I-129f except a procedural concern:

· If the petitioner entered on a K-1 visa and the I-130 petitioner is not the same person who filed the I-129F petition, the alien is prohibited from adjusting status.

Maybe I'm blind :dead: and paranoid. <_< But I am a humble man and will patiently sit here and wait until I can Stand corrected .

Again I havent read it all word for word yet...that's a job for another day and fresh eyes  .

This night is old and there's sleep to be had.

The Adjudicator's Manual is a wonderful document to review at each stage of your journey. You may find that certain parts of it are redacted at certain times (not available) as they are rewriting parts of it. It provides useful links to the relevant legislation, which is also worth reading, and provides some specificity about requirements and expectations about the different aspects of the immigration process. It is especially useful for circumstances that might be out of the ordinary - eg late filings, run ins with the law, etc. I have had the site bookmarked for a number of years now :) .

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Chapter 37 discusses K visas and V visas - since K-1 is a non-immigrant visas you won't find it under Immigration Visas. Most of the chapter, however, is currently undergoing revision and is currently not available. Reading over the Table of Contents will give you a good idea of what is available and you can pick and choose your way through the relevant information as identified in the Table of Contents.
