I called NVC today and the AVR system says "Packet of Instructions and documents was generated Nov. 1"

Also, on Nov 1st I received an e-mail regarding DS-230 and civil documents to send along . So, is the AVR system referring to DS-230 Packet.

Oyez! Oyez! Oyez! It is with great elation that I announce that I express mailed the IV package to NVC today. Now I just wait like Loto. There's not much else I can do now. Hopefully, I'll get a SiF in a week or so. I have 4 envelops now. They are:

  • I130 package - Form I130 and everything I sent along with it.
  • AOS package - Form I864EZ and all supporting documents.
  • IV package - Form DS230 and all supporting documents.
  • Original package - High quality color copies of original documents sent to NVC.

In about a week or so, I'm going to make two exact copies of these four package. Then I'll send these to my wife. Each package will have a table of content sheet. So the only thing my wife will have to take with her to the interview (beside these packages) are some wedding photos. I'll send her copies MoneyGram receipts, a few phonebills, some text message log (not the actual message, however.) That should be enough for interview. I'm going coordinate with her about her vaccines. She should make sure to take the ones she missed or doesn't have record for. She's in middle of tests now. So this will have to wait couple of weeks.

Man, it feels great to be done submitting things to NVC. I kept everything super organized. So I feel pretty good about myself as well. I hope everyone's as elated as I am. I hope TomD hears spectacular news in few hours. Good luck everyone.

Yes. This about the DS230 package. I am getting the same message and I called NVC to confirm. It's about the DS230. Edited by IndigoSkies

labelling ds 230 original documents

Hello!

I just had a quick question about labeling the original documents that we send with the DS-230 form. I know we are supposed to put the beneficiary's name and the NVC case # on each page that we send. Is there an appropriate way of labeling the original documents(birth certificates, police certificates, marraige certificate) without writing on the actual document? Can you use blank label stickers or is there some other accepted method for labeling?

You don't need to put the beneficiary's name. Just the NVC case number on upper right-hand corner. You can buy some peel-able stickers. Then put the case number on the sticker and then apply the stickers on your originals. That's exactly what I have done. I bought a packet of those mailing label. Instead of printing mailing address, I printed the case number. Then cut them into small strips. And applied a strip to each of the original document (e.g birth, marriage, police certificate, etc.)

My DS-230 package was already delivered to NVC on Nov 1st 12:00PM

so does it mean I am missing something or is it ds-230 packet instructions

No. Nothing's missing. NVC is behind. You're ahead. That's the beautiful thing about using VisaJourney guides. You're many steps ahead of NVC. Don't worry. If you are in fact missing any documents on your DS230/IV pack, you will get a RFE. But you can't get an RFE unless NVC has started to look at your pack. And I know for a fact that they don't look at your pack for at least one week. The point is, don't worry. You're fine.

No it doesn't mean that. Its just that your DS-230 package has not been entered into the system yet. You just have to wait a few more days and you should hear something else. I hate to wait a week before it was inputted into the system.

As long as he applied for it and you have it within a week, you should be OK. My wife didnt even try to get the PCC from Ahmedabad office as people are getting rejected at the gate. Might as well wait for the checklist and then get it. Good luck to you as well. :D

Hey guys whats your opinion on binding all the documents using a 3 ring binder for AOS and IV documents? Basically is 3 hole punch the way to go? Im not punching holes in marriage cert, pcc, birth cer i am going to uses sheet protectors on them.

Also if any one can comment! What do you think the odds are for a December Interview at the the London Embasy. I sill cant pay the AOS and IV Fees and my DS 3032 is still not accepted.

I will refrain from using a 3 ring binder, staples, paper clips, glue, chewing gum or any other device to bind my documents together. I have read many times, "NVC has entered documents into the system". I had a difficult time making copies of many of my documents that were bound together. In China many documents consist of several pages glued together. I am thinking this is why the NVC wants copies of the original also, so they are easy to scan and enter into the computer. Just my guess. I read on one government website about using 2 ARCO fasteners. I believe ARCO was the term used.
