As something recognizable as myself, yes, this is it. Life does not cease when I do though, there is life after.

What about life that makes you certain that this is it? Setting aside any religious beliefs, do you not give any weight to the stories and experiences that people have had with the paranormal?

I believe hell and heaven to be described by religeons through history as the worst and best they could think of of that time.

Lord will take those away thaty follow him leaving people to suffer tribulations.

During the timesof tribulations many will be saved and suffer the worst of tribulations while the rest will confirm so they do not suffer. (suffering could be anything form social stigma, econoical crisis, persecution etc.)

Those saved during the times of Tribulations will be the ones he takes as he opens the gates of hell and where Satan and his follower and the unsaved will enter and live.

Personally I believe heaven will be a world of peace and prosperity for all that live there - Hell will be a world of strive and despair for all (what is for sure no one can say 100% what it will be)

That brings a few questions which which you must allow faith to guide you.

We live in a world of strive and depsair but their is also love and hope. Is this hell but we are being given a chance to enter heaven after this live?

If so if we do not make it to heaven do we just repeat life here until we make it.

Personally we live on the earth and heaven and hell have not come yet to recieve us.

No afterlife. No picture perfect story ending called heaven. No scary (evil) place full of goons and goblins called hell.

If you are a (near) perfect saint all your life nothing happens when you die. If you kill 500 people you don't go to hell.

When a dog dies it doesn't go to doggy heaven. When a bird dies it doesn't go to birdy heaven. When a worm dies it doesn't go to wormy heaven.

As proof that some flimsy bodily form and mental faculties that make up a recognizable me will continue on ad infinitum? You have to be kidding me. As proof that the mind whilst alive has some fascinating and not yet understood capabilities, absolutely. More than that though, our brain is hot wired to put patterns together to make recognizable features, so for example the brain sees 'faces' in random patterns, hence all these pictures of 'jesus'. It is interesting, but not a sign that what I am can outlast my death.

I don't believe in a God, or a Heaven/Hell.

But I do believe there MIGHT be something after life. Some other form of consciousness perhaps. Even that though, might just be me trying to make myself feel better about the prospect of loved ones being 100% gone.
