Which "Eligibility Category" do K-1 fiance(e)s use for the I-765 form?

Text/email and hardcopy means the same thing - they have accepted your case, meaning they didn't reject it.

K-1: 12-22-2015 - 09-07-2016

AP: 12-20-2016 - 04-07-2017

EAD: 01-18-2017 - 05-30-2017

AOS: 12-20-2016 - 07-26-2017

ROC: 04-22-2019 - 04-22-2020
Naturalization: 05-01-2020 - 03-16-2021

U.S. passport: 03-30-2021 - 05-08-2021

Oh okay.

But how do I make sure that they changed my eligibility category? 

ROC Timeline

08/16/19: sent I-751 packet to USCIS Lockbox in Dallas

08/19/19: packet received by USCIS

08/21/19: received text message with case number ( Texas Service Center)

08/23/19: check got chashed

08/26/19: received extension letter in the mail

11/14/19: Biometrics appointment

04/28/20: case got transferred to my local field office in Atlanta

05/28/20: New Card Is Being Produced

05/29/20: New Card Got Approved

06/02/20: We Mailed Your New Card

06/03/20: The Post Office Picked Up Your New Card

06/04/20: Card Was Delivered To Me By The Post Office

You know they did because otherwise they would have rejected it. Once you're married and file for AOS you can't use the category you used, when they go through your paperwork to decide if they're going to accept it or reject it, they will notice that you are ineligible for that category. That's when they either correct it or reject your application.

Hi!

I am new here and I would like to ask for your help!

 

I am K-1 visa holder, going to get married in 3 weeks (end of this month) and then submit I-765 form together with my I-485 form.

I have a question about I-765 form. It has been changed recently and this drives me crazy!

 

New I-765 form has a question:

19. Current Immigration Status (Visitor, Student, etc.) 

 

What should I specify if I am K-1 visa holder who married?

 

It could be the situation that I will apply for AOS and EAD after my K-1 visa expires (I have 90 days for applying for AOS from the date of marriage)...

So how is my official status between marriage and approved AOS called????

K-1 visa holder, doesn't matter if your i-94 has expired.

I would recommend you add the i131 to your AOS as well.
