Hi.

I need to ask. Please help.

I'll be going this October to USA on a K1 visa. I just need to know if I can petition my parents right after my AOS gets approved, or do I need to remove first my conditional status (that's like 2 years to wait)?

The thing is my dad is sick, and I want him to get treated there. If its possible.

Can anyone shed some light? Thanks.

You will eligible for citizenship (based on your marriage) 3 years after you receive your Green Card. After you become a citizen you can petition for your parents.

Also if you dad is sickly at the time of the visa you will be asked to show that he will not be a burden to the government and that you have suitable medical insurance for him. This can be very very expensive with pre existing medical conditions.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
