2008-10-14.....Interview--221g, asked to present joint sponsor inspite of NVC approval

2008-11-07.....Visa due to arrive. DHL truck delivering visa was robbed, Consulate required us to present I-864s and DS-230 again, had to get a new passport and other related documents

2008-11-14.....Presented all new documents in person at Consulate, visa printed same day

2008-11-25.....POE Atlanta

2008-12-26.....Green Card and 2nd Welcome Letter arrive

2010-09-02.....Date of NOA ROC 1-751

so, the check was finally cashed Sept 13. It had that WAC number on there. That's not the case number, is it? I tried it of course, and of course it doesn't work. Just a little too impatient, I guess. I just want my husband to get the biometrics letter before we go on vacation, that's all. We are cutting it a little too close.

I-130 Timeline:

5/13 : NOA1

7/21 : NOA2 - APPROVED!!!

NVC Timeline:

7/25 : Case # assigned

9/30 : Case completed!!!! (THANK YOU, LORD!!!)

10/03: Interview date assigned

US Embassy in Manila:

10/30 : Paid Document Verification (just to be on the safe side)

11/12 - 11/13 : Medical at SLEC

11/18: INTERVIEW DATE/MANILA EMBASSY/0630AM - VISA APPROVED!

11/20 : Visa in hand! (that was fast!)

11/30 : Flight to USA!

Seems that you sent your application in a few weeks early. It should have been sent in 90 days before the expiration date on your card. USCIS has returned it to you and you'll probably see it in your mail box in a couple of days. When you get it back turn right around and refile it. You are within the window now. :thumbs:

Yes, if you read the instructions of I-751 form it states that the window in which to file opens 90 days before card expiration date. No worries though. It's happened to several people. When you get it back just resend and it will be processed. :thumbs:

I hope the same for everyone waiting as well. Really wasn't expecting such fast processing but there are others who have been processed in much less time than me. The shortest I've seen recently is 5 weeks so keep hope alive! :yes:

but, i haven't received any text message from them with my case number saying that they got my package. weird, huh? so, what's the use of the G-1145? hmmmm...
