when you were in yer masters program -

did you join any professional engineering society ?

if so - contact the national office, ask for 'contact info' for the local chapter meetings in your area. Then go to a local chapter meeting, do some 'in yer face social networking' , talking with other chapter members.

USA university

go back to their 'job/career services' desk, get a Human there, start looking for jobs WITH the job listing service AT the university.

MOST 'findable jobs' these last 3 years, are not found online, they are found from 'face to face social networking' - so if you are not 'in the loop', wei ! get in the loop !

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

The job market is at a really low point. First hint stop looking in places you want to work. The most desirable companies in the nicest cities have hundred of applicants per job. Look at your second choice companies and in ugly locations. Remember you can move later on. Many companies are hiring through consultancies. They get to check out a potential employee with little risk. See if you can figure out who that company is. If there are any meetings for associations near you go to them.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

This was not what I wanted to hear! oh no.

My fiance is an electrical, electronic and communications engineer with a focus on process control. There are zero jobs for anyone in Rhode Island and I was hoping other states were faring better.

I hope things shape up for you soon, it's not a good feeling to be unemployed!

Best of luck to you,

Anna
