DOS phone number

Can someone give me the DOS phone number?

We have the website info to check our AP, but it says not in the system. I read this should be available almost immediately and now it has been 2 days.

I emailed the embassy about it, but they will be closed Friday and Saturday and now I am feeling very nervous about it. I know we are only a couple days in, I just want to be sure we are in the system correctly.

Hmm.... I was not aware of a web site to check your AP. If that is so, whats the site? Also ... When calling DOS press 1 then 0, that way you wont have to go though the whole recording !

The guy gave us a paper with the link. I think if you go to the embassy web page for your country and then go to immigrant visa section, there should then be a section on AP.

For Jordan the link is

jordan.usembassy.gov/iv_administrative_processing.html

You may be able to just change the country name and it will work for you. (I am not the greatest on the computer... LOL!)

If it is like what we were given it is the page that shows the case number when the AP is finished, aka time to come get the visa.
