They are aware of the problem and they are getting 100s of calls a day regarding the USCIS.gov tracking site not working with MSC numbers.

Here is what the woman told me:

The USCIS.gov doesn't connect directly to the USCIS computer system that the USCIS uses to work on petitions.

All 3 of my petitions are in the main system and for some reason didn't get transfered to database that the USCIS.gov site uses.

They are fully aware of the issue, calling won't help get your apps to the website tracking.

They hope to have it fixed in the next couple days. She didn't sound confident on this one.

The petitions that aren't showing up at USCIS.gov site aren't going to be affected time wise because the main system has everything and is working properly, we just can't track the cases online.

That was ALMOST worth the 40 minute wait :-)

Our case never got touched so we made an infopass appointment to find out why. We were told not to pay any attention to the online system. I would have asked why they even had an online system if we weren't supposed to pay any attention to it but this was a government employee and I'm sure they would have had no answer for that.

Finally we got touched 8 times in a matter of days. Each one said our interview was cancelled. We didn't even have an interview so go figure.

It still says our interview was cancelled and we were approved yesterday.

So like the lady said - take it for it's worth. Not much apparently.

That's weird, I just got my NOA1 on my K3 on Aug 9th and I was able to update it on the USCIS website. Weird

So is this problem only directed to the people who can't get their case number in the system? Or for the rest us as well who are already in the system? I am just wondering if maybe the reason I havent heard anything since June could be because the site simply is just not updating.

Our cases were showing up as invalid...til today. My husband's AOS and EAD apps are online as of 9:15pm EST, but not his AP. Maybe they've gotten the problem fixed, eh? Let's hope so. :)

Just curious if anyone having issues would post the first part of their number.

Ours are MSC-06-292-XXXXX

I'm wondering if it's a set of days or a week or something that doesn't work. (the 292 is the fiscal day of the year for the USCIS)

I asked my congressman to call USCIS to find out what is happening on my AOS case because it has not been touched or updated on USCIS. She called me back to say they are working on it and an processing it - but I have no touches or anything on the online system. So Stina I think that is probably why you have not received any touches - they are not updating the system when they work on some files.

I am still not getting my hopes up too much....but I am holding on to a little more hope than before.

Mine still isn't showing up on the system either: MSC-06-306-XXXX, but I have my biometrics appointment in Sacramento, CA today so hopefully it may show up on-line in a few days? (similar to what other VJ posters have experienced here).....

what's the point in having an update system that doesn't work?
