On K1 visa at POE do they care about how much money do I have? For example if I have less than $500 with me can I have any problems etc? I am sponsored by my fiance so I think it shouldnt be a problem, because this is not tourist visa.

What do you think???

nope, no issue.

if yer carrying more than 10K USD in currency or fiduciary instruments, must declare it at customs.

is no 'minimum amount' for entrance into USA on a K-1 visa.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

just keep enough money to cover you for your food and drink at airport, worst case for a taxi and thats it.

Immigration officer would not care about how much money you have on K1 on B1/B2(tourist) they sometimes do ask how much money you are carrying, that just gives them something to gauge u as a real tourist.

nor for any other visa--I once played host to a visitor (B-1--as he was supposed to attend a church-conference) who apparently entered with a total of $0.00 (and he was an absolutely horrid guest, who I was gladly rid-of when the conference started).

My now husband entered on a tourist visa, and was detained for 3ish hours at JFK b/c he didn't have any money on him. I was traveling with him and had everything....nightmare.
