This might be a stupid question, but the last thing i want is for my case to be delayed.

My wife wrote my entire address including city state and zip where it says agent address where the receipt of mail will be under option 1, but then it gives another line for city state and zip, she wrote it there again, then she sent it to NVC. Will i have issues? should i stop it and redo it or its not a big deal?

I would pre-fill the form myself by typing and saving the PDF. Then email that electronic copy to her and tell her where to sign.

All she will have to do is print and sign, she will not have to fill anything out.

Indians are not used to US forms or US dates, so it can be confusing. What I actually did was send my wife pre-filled forms with the answers she told me. Then I went and got some little Red Adhesive Flags from Office Depot that say "Sign Here" or "Date Here", etc and inserted those flags directly on top of the field of action for my wife.

I then created a step-by-step instruction page for her so she could follow those instructions. All she really had to do was lift up the Red Flag and take the action that was necessary (sign, USA date, or write Name in Native Language).

One other tip, I typed in all of the information and saved the forms (or scanned and converted to pdfs when necessary) then emailed all the pdfs to my wife. Then all she had to do was to print and sign/date the forms. I included sample forms as pdfs as well that had the areas where she had to sign/date highlighted. That worked out very well for us.

Hard Copy? That's a bad word these days. Go electronic in every way that you can. I emailed the DS-3032. I placed the filled out form from Wiki in an email and then I emailed it to my wife. She then reviewed it checking for error, deleted my personal information (showing that it was from me) and emailed it to NVC. I was online with her at the time just in case she had any questions. That worked great for us.

I wanted to do this, but my wife insisted she wanted to write it in, since i have been doing everything, she was like, atleast let me fill this form out lol.

I thought i couldnt do this electronically? i thought only asbaghastan or something turkmenistan cuidad, and montreal could do this!

Are you telling me, my wife could sign it, scan it as a PDF and email it to NVCinquiry@state.gov??!?!

I wanted to email it, but i want to clarify, i know theres a format that you put it in text in the email, im having my wife email that, but now, i guess im going to have her attach it as a PDF as well. I just wanted to mail the hardcopy just in case, i am open to suggestions.

Thank you everyone for your advice, and i am replying late because i just came home from work.

I too was reecently confused about this but NVC likes E-mails in general, If you look on the wiki and click NVC and then find DS 3032 or here is a link http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form (thanks to Darnell for pointing that out to me just a couple days ago)

So i think the confusion is this: NVC has a pilot program for electronic processing and so far i think it only works for Ghanzau, Sydney and somewhere else, you can learn more about that either on the wiki or by going to the NVC website but it is a different thing entirely than being able to submit emails of forms etc. I think you will benefit from reading the wiki on NVC as it answers some of the questions you are posting

ya, the email is 'ascii text'.

PPL get confused, thinking they will email in, a file attachment of the signed DS-3032.

a file attachment is not ascii text.

The 'VJ DS-3032 EMAIL TEMPLATE' should be sent out in ASCII TEXT.

Then there's the shotgun approach to DS-3032 - don't do this, aye?

1. email the DS-3032 ascii text version

2. email the scanned/signed DS-3032

3. postal mail a signed DS-3032 into NVC

Pick 1 or 3 if you are NOT PARTICIPATING in NVC Electronic Processing. Pick 2 if you ARE participating in NVC Electronic Processing. To know if yer eligible for NVC Electronic Processing, please review http://travel.state.gov/visa/visa_4411.html each month or so, as the info does update, albeit sporadically.

Good Luck !

agree - you can use the ling che template to just type the 3032 agent form and send it in. worked for me and my wife; although we ended up sending the other form in anyway (after the electronic was accepted) just to be on the safe side, but obviously unnecessary. see if you can do the electronic version. in any case, no harm in trying and seeing. worse thing that can happen is that they say it is unacceptable, but basically if you follow the ling che format to the letter, then you should be ok. good luck

I wasn't able to fill it electronically for some odd reason. At this point am I in trouble if it reaches Nvc or is it ok?

IF you received a DS-3032 via email from NVC -

it had the barcode in it, right?

alas - this version is NOT FILLABLE in any PDF reader, in any operating system.

if you'd like the fillable version, please download it from

http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/80023.pdf

FYI - it doesn't have any barcode it in, and it's OK to use it.

Good Luck !

I did all 3.

IMO, you wasted the time of at least 14 employees when ya did this -

between DoS, NVC, USPS and the foreign postal carrier.

Since email is available for the ASCII TEXT template, why not just stick with that?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
