thanks all of you so much for replies

but i want to know something else how long i have to wait to send or response to the request that they wanted from me after i got the RFE request letter?

Hey KdRjN.

I was in the same situation... let me tell you about my case.. it will help u understand ...

I filed I 130 in august 2009

got RFE'ed in feburary 2010.... in that RFE they asked me to submit following things.

Birth cert. for the beneficiary/applicant.

birth cert. for the children. ( we have a daughter )

Proof of ongoing bona fide relationship.

and USCIS asked me to submit I 864 , with my tax information. even though USCIS has nothing to do with that form. just to make sure that i have financial means to support my wife.

I think RFE really depends ON officer to officer.

time frame they gave me was also weird... RFE generated 25th feb and deadline was may 20th.

After getting all my proofs together and what they asked, I mailed them the RFE response, in May. and exactly after 20 days they approved my case. on june 23rd 2010.

I hope it helps.

I read that as '20 days', not 2 months.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I had received RFE on 22nd March, 2010.

I got the letter from USCIS on 26th March, 2010.

They asked me to prove that our relationship was ongoing and bonafide.

I prepared 10 affidavits, one from each parent of me and my wife; 3 from the court marriage witnesses, 3 from her college friends, 2 from their neighbours.

I also sent phone records, letters, emails, greeting cards, gift receipts, from my side and from her side.

In addition, I sent them photos of us on various occassions, with family members, friends and relatives.

I sent the documents on April 3rd and they received the documents on April 5th.

My RFE got cleared on April 6th, 2010 around 11:15 PM EST (which would be 8:15 PM PST).

So, it took less than 2 days for USCIS to clear my RFE.

You just send them the list of items, which they ask and I am pretty sure that your case would be on its way to NVC.

Good luck.
