What's with all this sex talk?

I just saw "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" on DVD

but the fact that that Woody Allen was the director

was extremely well-hidden on the cover (it wasn't

there at all).

I thought it was a hoot, but kind of a replay of his

usual themes of identity crises and sexual

confusion/ambiguity.

Other than that, it kind of reminded me of something

Lasse Hallström would have done.

There was a lot of sex talk in this film and I think

my wife found it funnier than I did. If sex talk

massages the funny bone I think it can be very good

but if it's just talk for the sake of talk it gets boring

no matter what the topic.

I'm probably going to get banned for this, but I can not stand Woody Allen movies. unsure.gif

I loved his earliest work - I thought he was better with the sight gags.

Some of his later stuff has put me to sleep but some I've liked.

My parents took me to see it when I was five on Cape Cod. I can pinpoint this as the moment that it all started to go downhill for me.

A long long time ago. His movies just don't do anything for me. I don't find them funny. I get a background feeling from them that he is pompous.
